Being a boycotter it’s hard to comment but if the semi final against Doncaster and the 1st half of the final are anything to go on I would have him ahead of Sarr all day long.
They aren't anything to go on though, over the 50+ games in the season Sarr was consistently the better performer
Right, but as @Callumcafc put (far better than I could) Sarr performed well when we were the better team. In the crucial, difficult, final games of the season Sarr was found wanting (and was a liability in the final if we are honest). Clearly next season will have more games like the latter and I would trust Pearce over Sarr in those scenarios.
I'm just going to mention Ramadan here, one more time.
So what was his excuse over the previous three seasons?
Charlton Athletic defender: I could have played against Wigan – but the bastard left me out, and as a result we lost 2-0, ha ha. I really wanted to show Wigan what a mistake it was to sell me, and I never got the f88king chance - but I respect manager’s call
Every time Pearce made a mistake today the fella behind me went mental on him. Every time he did something half decent the fella was saying how wonderful Matthews had just been! Very odd.
Pearce is not really good enough anymore but what moron told our CB pair to stand next to the keeper to receive his place kicks. Welcomed pressure and it is simply not Pearce's game.
He is another of those players that wants to play for us and gives his best every game yet those fans that say that is all they want to see will boo and give abuse because he is just not really up to it any more.
He was absolutely brilliant - he had to cover for our new left back as well as doing his own job - I really dont understand the fans who dont rate him - he was a giant today
I love Pearcey, but he’s just not very good anymore - tried to give them a goal on about 3/4 occasions and his passing is dreadful. Did make me chuckle when he got fouled late on and tried to crawl through a pompey players legs to retrieve the ball, only to end up wearing him like a rucksack.
He threw himself unecessarily strongly into a few easy challenges and that seems to have won him a few favours with some favours with the crowd. I thought he was a liability.
Trouble with the modern “passing out from the back” is you need the players to do it. We know Pearce’s strengths but I’m sure we all agree tippy tappy isn’t one of them. If Adkins wants to do this then Famewo has gotta play.

Maybe....but Famewo has been the biggest culprit of just whacking the ball forward, so he'll have to change his mindset.

No sex before a match ... or Viagra for the whole team?

It was like a Jacko performance, showing huge amounts of character and dragging the rest of the side with him.
Some pretty crucial interventions.
I'll admit he had a few nervy moments in the ball today but overall I'd say he had a pretty big impact on the result.
