Teams know to press our defenders. They know that mistakes will come and there will be chances. Week in week out the same has happened.
Come to think of it, even when under no pressure we often pass to the opposition anyway! Pearce twice today.
Do we have a defensive coach?
This. It can't be rocket science if you are the opposition manager to know if you push up on our back 4 they will just try and pass it to each other instead of looking for a ball around the corner to a midfield player.
When I went to Wigan I though we were relegation fodder. I believe the start was a mixture of good luck, Over confidence from our opposition and shit loads of adrenaline. Once it gets to November the other teams get used to how our players play and injuries it levels out. Come on boys. Quick goal and you never know...
I blame ESI. They knew we were in the shit without some investment and improving the team. It's been glaringly obvious for months
Absolutely nobody could have predicted this drop in form.
You are joking. It's been on the cards for months
Nope I'm not. There were no dissenting opinions when much of CL were predicting us moving back up the table once we had got past our injury crisis. Hindsight is 20/20. I'm as disappointed as anybody in our form and results, I'm just saying that it wasn't predicted. I'm happy to be proved wrong as I don't read all the comments, but I didn't see any when we had a fully fit squad.
Suicidal. Far too tight situation. The ball had to be played upfield. Or just clear your lines if there's no outlet.
And even then, after the loose pass, the reaction is too slow: Purrington dead, Pearce wandering indecisively ..... Lapslie too slow to track the runner who scored.

Hayden Coulson (Middlesbrough) wins a free kick in the defensive half.
Foul by Andre Green (Charlton Athletic).

Absolute shambles.
Attempt missed. Patrick McNair (Middlesbrough) right footed shot from outside the box is too high. Assisted by Marcus Tavernier following a corner.
Offside, Charlton Athletic. Adedeji Oshilaja tries a through ball, but Macauley Bonne is caught offside.
I know it won't make any difference as we won't score in a month of Sundays but it's the principle.
We need to somehow punish them
