By all means slag off Djokovic for his Vaccine stance and the ill timed tennis tournament he organised where so many tennis players caught Covid including himself (1st time he caught it) But Novak cares deeply about many issues and has given millions towards floods in Serbia and donations to the Australian bush fires.
Of course Djokovic has a giant ego, similar to every other great sports stars including Ronaldo,Williams, O'Sullivan, Fury, Hamilton, Bolt etc.

It's great if he's done the above. Would be a lot better if it was done unconditionally though
Kinda thing I think, when people on the covid thread lecture others about jabs.
That's not the only point though is it. The other point is that if most people including smokers / the obese / alcohol user / skydivers / Rock climbers / base jumpers / and any others who put unnecessary strain on the NHS, have had the vaccine, why don't the super fit?
Nb - Totally understand the argument and I remain pro-choice
I'm more intrigued whether he'll get in hot water over being out and about on the days after he claims he tested positive, than whether he stays/plays in Australia at this point.
That would need to be brought about by the Serb authorities and he basically owns Serbia, going by the recent reports

All the anti-vaxxers are international sportsmen apparently and immune to viruses.
Not, but I'm sure a lot of the people giving him (and others) grief are fat fucks with diabetes and a drinking problem.
What a classy argument.
Classy or not, it's a fact unfortunately.
The overweight guy may have other health i but can others catch it from him?
No, but they are far more likely to be seriously ill. It's not trendy to dig out someone's weight though, can't upset people for physical choices theyve made.

Can you pass obesity on through close contact, creating an exponential chain that can ultimately affect someone who is elderly, immuno-compromised or otherwise vulnerable, possibly leading to their hospitalisation and/or death? Is Nolan using his influence as a radio presenter, a famously non-sight based medium, to throw doubt on the legitimacy of healthy eating and encourage others to eat several pounds of lard a day through that influence? It doesn't matter if Novak can boy off Covid with the power of positive thinking and being super fit. What matters is his words and his belief that the fact he's good at hitting things with other things makes him suitable to dish out his widely-reported opinions on medical matters despite them contradicting what actual scientists and doctors say. Obesity is a problem nationally that will put strain on the NHS, but these two things aren't comparable. Nolan's obesity affects him, Novak's idiocy will influence someone under-informed and easily led and cause harm to others.

How do you feel about Djokovic being positive and yet still attending public events without a mask?
Just points to a complete lack of self awareness and respect of others.

No, but it is a behavioral trait that a sizeable chunk (no pun intended) of children of overweight/fat/obese people learn/take from their parents.
Genetics are also a factor, but witnessed behaviors take some undoing.

Does anyone believe he tested positive on the 16th?
Maybe i'm too cynical but it all seems extremely convenient given his entire application and exemption appears to be based off 'i had covid recently', so what was he going to do if he hadn't caught it?
Not an issue though, when you've pre-planned a pretend positive result from a random serbian doctor.
Where they messed up though was with those photos from that event on the 17th. I simply think they didn't think the plan through well enough to cover that so when those photos came out they must've thought 'ah we fucked that up didn't we'. I genuinely don't believe he had covid and rocked up to the event having tested positive.

Perhaps not but that is genuinely what he is coming out and saying.
If a UK celebrity did that their career would effectively be over and most sponsors would drop them. Let's see if it happens to Novax.

Whilst I don't agree with it when it can be prevented (caveat it could be partially as a result of other health conditions), is it another example of personal choice? But other people can't catch it from you (and then pass it on further) causing illness, potentially serious, or even death. If there was a vaccine to prevent it, many would take it

Probably true, sadly.
It's not really true. Of course he is one of the wealthiest Serbian nationals, but he doesn't even live there most of the time. It goes deeper than that. All the Balkan countries seem more susceptible than further north to conspiracy theories of all kinds. This is one reason why Serbia has one of the lowest vax rates in Europe, despite getting off to a fast start, in part because they used some of the Chinese junk. In addition Serbia as a nation has probably the biggest victim-complex in Europe. That's what triggered all the nonsense from his Dad about "Australia" wanting to "stomp on Serbia". Presumably he's now sending his apology and thanks to the Oz judge.
There's one Serb whose opinion on all this I'd love to hear right now: Sasa Ilic. He spent part of his life in Oz, and has had his personal health demons (booze), and his Montenegrin retreat hotel is, or was last time I looked, strongly pushing the health line.

You can generally avoid obesity by eating normally. You can't avoid covid by being jabbed.
Comments
- Lie and say you tested positive, but get criticised for putting kids lives at risk the day after the positive test.
- Didn't test positive, isn't vaccinated, don't play.
Reckon that because he knows he's basically immune from prosecution in his home country, he's gone down that road, backed up by the entire nation
