  • Said to be looking to sue the Australian government for $6million.

He needs to get over himself.

They should agree to pay him.  And tell him they'll leave it, in cash, in a bank in Sydney.  He can come and get it whenever he wants...
  • Agh, can’t believe I missed that. 👍

Morrison said he had left the door open for him to return....seems the automatic three year ban isnt being implemented.

    The balls in Djokovic's court

BBC research has cast doubt on the timing of the positive Covid test Novak Djokovic used to enter Australia to try to compete in the Australian Open.

Documents submitted by his lawyers to federal court in Australia included two Covid (PCR) test certificates, one with a positive result on 16 December and one with a negative result on 22 December.

However, the serial number on his positive test appears out of sequence with a sample of tests from Serbia over the same period gathered by the BBC. It is also higher than for his second (negative) test result from six days later.

Yes, it would appear that allegedly it was some kind of fake positive result.
Although of course the BBC and others won't want to say that for fear of being sued.
  • Yes, it has seemed for a while, this is the case. Probably why he went out when  'positive' because he wasn't, just lied and cheated to get in
  • Well, ahead of my summit post -Jan beers with my Serbian mate, I am appreciative of Scott Morrison firing the vax shot across Kayne West’s bows. That will at least take the sting out of his Serbia-as-victim narrative.
  • If it is proven he has done this, surely the tennis authorities should take action.

Agreed. In some ways it feels even more criminal than if he had gone out after actually testing positive

Why wouldn't be play at Wimbledon? There's no vaccination requirement to enter England?

  • I have to say, I agree with his point about pro choice not anti-vax.
Why can’t we live in a society where you either make the choice to have it, as I have.
Or you don’t, and that’s fine.
    There’s so much anger about.
While the likes of Boris J piss about with our country, the worker bees fight it out amongst themselves.
  • He thinks he is essential to the tournaments but I wonder. He will soon be forgotten once the tournaments start.

He's arguably the greatest ever player and tournaments are the lesser if he is not there.
  • Nice bit of PR for Novak set up by a huge PR firm with the BBC.

Allowed to air his views without much debate to millions of people in the UK. So much for being cancelled.
  • Amol Rajan seems to divide opinion. I’m on the side that considers him to be an over-rated narcissist who should have pissed off to GB News with Andrew Neil. There’s no way Novax’s people were going to let someone like Emily Maitlis or even Neil himself, on him, as for starters they would have point blank refused any advance discussion on the interview topics.
  • I see Novax has started the PR offensive with an interview with the Beeb.
Claiming his stance is all about freedom of choice.
Says he’d sacrifice the French Open and Wimbledon to make his stand.
    Distanced himself from anti-vax groups.
Expressed disappointment in his ‘colleagues’ at the Oz open. Whatever that means.
Obviously, no questions were asked about his dubious “positive test” in December, or about his twatting about at functions without a mask after the fact, but there you go.

Call me an old cynic, but the guy just seems like a liar who came unstuck because he thought he was untouchable. Now he’s been wheeled out by his advisors to start reparation.

The guys a twat. Fuck him.
    I agree with your conclusion.
  • He was booted out of Australia because he lied on his visa application This is a felony that the home office acts up to They say why wasn't he refused entry in the fist place ,and not make it look like they changed the rules when he was in flight. which is a good question to ask Craig Tiley (Tennis Australia) and the Victorian government in Melbourne, So we can assume it was the dollars involved- The contentious issue, of  does a previous infection of Covid 19 within 6 months Professor Sutton (virologist) in Victoria, said yes. while the N S W health minister said no. It's so confusing. But N J, lied any way. I think N J will look back on his decision with great regret Probably the best tennis player ever
