The EFL are not fit for perpose, they signed it off, they even sent an email to the club that we could 'go ahead' with the transfer of the sale yet after a few objections from Barnsley and Middlesboro they started to have a 're-think'
The Wigan fiasco shows what state the game is in, its a joke.
Comiserations on your relegation that must have been a bitter pill to swallow that and I'm sure you will be back soon.
Your club is a disgrace to football. The valuation, back dating the sale, sponsorship from sham companies. Your club are cheats, and there is nothing lower than that in sport.
Every game you have played this season you have effectively cheated as without fiddling you would not have been able to buy and pay all those players. The “email” does not change anything. No doubt your club will continue to sponsor itself with false companies.
Your shirts are sponsored by a company set up by your owner and has less than £60. Another sham by your owner. Are your fans not ashamed to wear replicas?
Football is a disgrace to football pal, money has killed the game for me however Chansiri is hell bent that he has done everything requested by the EFL and as much as we dont like him ( most of us anyway) we wont know until the verdict slams him as a cheat?
This monster was created by the EFL anyway with the P+S structure, basically we all know why its there but what it creates it people trying to get around it legally ...depends how you interpretate what cheating is, I could list a string of clubs that have used 'methods' to stay within the rules but 'explore' new ways.
Until Chansiri has been found guilty nothing more can be said on the matter apart from the EFL have showed how woeful thay are at a controlling body.

Not true I am afraid
We all know your club is guilty, the documents are out there its all been seen, the stadium was sold above value, to a company set up just to buy the stadium and then put on the wrong year to offset FFP
If it comes back as not guilty it does not mean you as a club are innocent and he dont nothing wrong, it means you found a loophole to exploit or paid someone off.
Man City got away with there one but everyone knows they were guilty

The EFL may well have signed off you selling your ground. I don't think there is any dispute in that.
Did they sign off the inflated price, backdating it to a different financial year, selling it to a company also owned by Chansiri/his wife that wasn't actually set up at the time of the 'sale' and for which records allegedly show no actual money changing accounts?

I doNt know what has gone on at Sheffield Wednesday, whether they have done wrong or stayed within the rules, I’m not going to pretend to understand.
what interests me is that Chansiri claims to have done nothing wrong. Sound familiar with nimer issuing all the documents to the efl?
football is full of cancerous owners who need to be throne out of the game. The efl are as guilty as the owners for not growing a pair!

I know as fans we can do little with regard to owners, and it is usual for the fans to suffer the consequences of poor ones. We all know that the EFL are not fit for purpose and that an urgent overhaul is required.
I have no confidence in them finding your club guilty or of imposing a suitable punishment. Whatever legal crap they use to in some way prove that what has been done is remotely within the rules, we all know that your club has systematically cheated to get an unfair advantage. How proud are you with what has, and is, happening? Used any taxis from that company that sponsors you?
At least Birmingham City put their hands up, but SW are pushing it all the way. It now looks as you will get another year in the Championship and the money that comes with it. Your club is a disgrace.

You changed you tune pretty quickly there.
First you came on saying that nothing wrong was done & it was all done with the agreement with the EFL. 2 posts later you're saying that nothing more should be said until Chansiri is or is not found guilty.
I dont know all the ins & outs & not seen any evidence either way.......but if you knowongly put something in one years accounts that should be on another years accounts to get round ffp then that's fraud
What really pisses me off with Sheff Wed and Derby having any punishment postponed until next season is that clubs like Charlton play by the financial rules and have weaker squads than Sheff Wed because of it. Yet they get relegated and those that play the system and spend outside the limits don't. What compounds it that the EFL started this in November (eight months ago) and it is still going on due presumably to incompetence their end, yet they are now saying any punishments will have to be next season due to the time needed for any appeals. Yet if the EFL had carried it out in any kind of reasonable time frame it would have been done and dusted by now. It is pathetic. Whether this incompetence is against the law though, I don't know, so probably no legal challenge by Charlton would succeed.
It could be argued that it wasn't us who were cheated by the likes of Wednesday and Derby, but rather the relegated teams in the Championship 1 or 2 years ago, seeing as the financial manipulations took place in the 2017/18 FY.
The likes of Burton Albion, relegated in 2018 for example, who run a tight ship, or Rotherham relegated in 2019
It would be frankly ridiculous if the punishments ended up in the football year 2020/21 THREE years after the offence
Punishment is related to the club that committed the offence. It’s like a murder investigation and trial that goes on for years but once the party is found guilty then the impacted parties can have some sense of closure as I am sure Burton and Rotherham would have. Wednesday should also be fined And the relegated clubs compensated.

If Sheff Weds are fined, who could they sell they ground to in order to raise funds to pay their fine?
Edit: I know ..... of course, the phantom taxi company that sponsors them!
Sheffield Wednesday have cheated. Does anyone believe that our present "owners" wouldn't have done the same given half the chance? There but for the grace of God go us. Sheffield Wednesday just happened to have an owner that got there before "ours" had the chance to do so (or at least do something equally as cynical).
Ultimately its the fans of the likes of us, Wigan and Bury that suffer, not the shysters that have no interest in the game but who like to "buy" and ruin clubs.
If Wednesday get 12 points deducted start of next season,if they have a good start they could make it up easily, finish up with nett 50 points and stay in the league, therefore punishment useless, what deterrant is that, open season for more fiddling.

I do not accept that others would cheat if they had a chance. There are a lot of honest owners in football who do things the right way.
For them and all decent clubs the EFL has to make a stand. -21 points for The cheats.
Going forward they need to make a rule that breaking FFP is automatic relegation two leagues. I.e from Championship to div2. Appeal to be made within 14days. Results published within 14days of hearing.
By making the penalty automatic and so harsh allows the appeals panel to mitigate the punishment, but makes the process open and quicker.

Try telling Bolton that.
Bolton lost their squad and had to rely on their kids from the off
Wednesday will virtually have the same squad from this season to call upon apart from those that are out of contract like Fox

If they end up 2 points out of the playoffs, then the 12 point deduction would have been a significant punishment
Indeed that's what happened to Soton back in 2009/10 where without the 10 point deduction they would have made the playoffs
My take is firstly discount anything that idiot Jeff Swelling says... He knows feck all.
Secondly why wouldn't the points be deducted this season? They were charged in this season so why irrespective of the time taken would the punishment be carried over to next season?
The fact is that nobody knows what will happen but if nothing happens to help us then I'd like to see our fantastic owners and stand up lawyers to a Barnsley and threaten to go medievel on the EFL.
Omg I think I'm begging to sound like Forever Addickted... Rage against the dying of the light....
We shouldn't just meekly accept our fate without at least giving the efl a slap!
They probably won't give an announcement till the season officially finishes after the play off final. The problem then is that they can appeal which would drag matters on further for another few weeks and will impact pre season, contracts and all that jazz.
Seems like it makes life easier to do it next season, especially if they win their appeal

I believe that the season is officially finished after the play off final anyway so they couldn't deduct points after that.

I fully agree - my point was there are clearly some that would.
I struggle with comments like "your club is a disgrace to football". The owners are a disgrace, not the club. We would rightly be aggrieved if our present owners behaved badly (God forbid) and others told us that our club was a disgrace - we'd quickly point out the difference between the club and the ownership.
By the way, I also agree that ultimately they should be deducted points.

While agreeing missing the play offs si a form of punishment, relegation is the correct punishment for out and out cheating.

Splitting hairs a bit there. I was making sure I did not include their fans in my comments.
Personally as a fan, a supporter for many years I cant stand what Chansiri is and has done to our club, season tickets are sky high for watching very poor quality.
Ive personally met Chansiri ( I can't say much more then this) and comes across as someone who means well but hasnt a clue how to run a club.
However what his and his lawyer ( De Marco) have repeatedly said is they have done everyrhing within the rules and the EFL looked, checked and signed it off, now as much as I dont really like the guy, it has to be said that if he right by saying he has emails from the efl saying its all good what more can he do?
Its okay fans of other clubs quickly calling clubs cheats but until we hear the verdict the club isnt guilty of anything.
This has been going on for 8 months effecting our whole season, the efl should have the balls but the longer it drags on then one has to question the whole thing.

Blind leading the blind then when Nightmeire was in situ except she didn't mean well the longer she was with us 😏.

So you think it is OK for a club owner to inject money into their club by creating sham companies to ‘sponsor’ them to circumnavigate the rules.
On a golf course you are sometimes allowed a free drop. You don’t throw it as far as you can towards the pin - unless you are a cheat.
It matters not what transpires. Your owner is guilty of fiddling to gain an unfair advantage. If an official from the EFL sent an email and confirmed it was all OK it will confirm what we all know - the EFL are shit. It will not change the fact that your owner knew exactly what he was doing. He made up a sale of the ground for a ridiculous amount to balance the books. You haven’t actually received a penny yet. It is a joke. Your club through his actions has cheated. End of.

Again a guilty or innocent verdict means nothing in football terms
Man City were somehow found not guilty even tho the who footballing world knows they were.
Selling a stadium for over its value, to a company set up just to buy the stadium and then to put that sale on the wrong financial year to cover FFP is cheating, plan and simple whatever the verdict is, whether you get away with it or not.

I admire your balls to keep coming back, but I did notice that you didnt answer one of the big burning issues.
Did the EFL give permission to put the sale into the previous years accounts, thus balancing the books.

A simple YES or NO will do.
