Sheffield United have agreed a deal to sign Ethan Ampadu on loan from Chelsea

Their Strikeforce is a bit meh like ours with Bartlett | Johansson | Euell but if it does a job (or if they can sign a decent Striker) they'll be back up there again next season

They should have looked at Wilson from Bournemouth

Proving that the wage cap doesn't mean much Sunderland have just signed Danny Graham on a years contract

Now there is no way he is on less than 10k even at 35

So either they have a lot of players on hardly anything or they have done my suggestion and said to him take 5k for 1 year then we wil add a clause that there is a 100% increase if we get promoted.

Either way Danny Graham will score goals in League 1
I'd guess he's on quite a bit less than £10k.

Weirdly un-Newcastle like solid, sensible signings.

They normally only do those sort of signings in the odd year they do in the Championship.

They should sign Ben Godfrey and Tyler Walker next. Hopefully Geoff Pike had a son, but I can't think of any Mannerings...

Ivan Toney has moved to Brentford. Good news for us and other clubs in League 1.

Good signing for Brentford and suits the way they play. Surely means Watkins will leave now?

Shows how they were in for Taylor before, could’ve signed him for free this summer but chose to swerve him and pay up to £10mil instead for Toney. Maybe his attitude played a big part in that decision from Brentford.

Will never forget Watkins completely missing the ball with an open goal against Barnsley !

Peterborough have signed Sam Szmodics on a permanent basis from Bristol City

First deal at this level thats really irritated me what with us being under an embargo, would have been a great signing for us!!

(If we were ever interested of course, which I feel we should have been)

Isn’t he an attacking midfielder? Williams, oztumer, Morgan, aneke! We need centre haves and full backs not another luxury attacking midfielder

True but we need as much talent and goals as possible

Morgan is the only one we didnt lose to injury last season either

Cant focus on one area of the pitch and ignore other targets

Definitely don't feel we need another attacking midfielder regardless of the embargo (unless it's a winger). Would prefer a CM and of course defenders desperately.

Unbelievable! I thought he’d go for around £20m. Exceptional work once again from Brentford.

They really do know how to come out on top of these deals. Seems rare these days where the selling club does well, feel like it’s usually the bigger club offering a joke bid and getting away with it.

That's a mental price for a guy with one good scoring season in the championship.

Looks like Villa are going to spunk a load of money again this season, just about survived last season.

Wilson, Fraser, Jamal Lewis and Jeff Hendrick, it definitely seems like a change in policy, going for established British and Irish players, rather than riskier imports
