  • Mcgeady is just a poor man’s Williams.
    Charlie
  • At HT I'd bring Williams on for McGeady, Aneke on for Bonne & Purrington for Oshilaja
  • Who can predict our next scorer ?
  • Quite a good standard first half. Some very crisp passing at times by both teams, looks quite high-intensity.

That Bonne chance, he has to try and widen that angle and if the defender comes across he can square it. Worryingly bad decision making from the moment he went clean through. Has shown other good touches, as he usually does.

Albie Morgan backtracking on Jed Wallace when he gave it away, that shows just how he has come on.

    Come on Charlton.

    Venus or Serena?
    Kenneth
  • Just think.......if only we had a striker who could finish. Lyle you're a c**t.

Really hope Williams has proved himself enough in training to come on in this second half and put the fear into them and get another assist
  • Every time the ball is on Jed Wallace's right foot a little bit of methane escapes my rusty sheriffs badge.
An image I shall carry with me for a while.
  • Bowyer got this selection wrong. Should have kept Chuks up front with Hemed. Doughty should have started instead of McGeady

  • Three things ... it doesn’t look as if we have a goal in us, long balls don’t work against their giants and McGeady is a liability
  • All set up for an injury time winner for someone aaaaah
we aren’t ever gonna score again , we need an og
  • I don't understand why Doughty didn't start ?
How many free kicks or corner are we going to concede so they can find Smith or Cooper, the 6ft5in giants.

  • Aneke for Bonne. Doughty for Osh. Williams for McGeady

Oshilaja and McGeady off Doughty and Williams on for me go 3-4-1-2
I think we've already gone to this sort of shape. Pratley is playing in the back three now
Yes as I said during the drinks break
  • Come on Charlton 2nd half.
  • Considering Millwall are the better side then us, and there direct football is bloody hard to defend against I think we kinda did okay.

Hemed is looking pretty sharp up top, and him and Bonne have showed some good movement when they've had the chance. Just that final ball or shot, as ever, is letting us down.
  • Apart from the breakaway with Bonne miss, we can’t get the ball upfield quick enough.

Think Doughty on is the answer, he’s got the pace to get the ball up quickly and to the feet of Hemed/Bonne.
But is Doughty good enough as a defensive unit to deal with Romeu?
Maybe not but Deji is on a yellow card and Doughty’s pace would hopefully mean we spend more time attacking.
  • Happy to still be drawing. Shame couldn't have taken one of those two good chances, but that's always our weakness. adding pace up front (Green/Doughty) may work better later on? Three and a half games without conceding - it's gonna break at some point (probably 93rd minute!) so we need a goal pleeeeaase!

    COYA!
  • He will prob change Doughty for Deji & JFC for Mcgeady...?? Chuks & Williams with 20 to go...5th sub...?

If Doughty is there he won't have as much licence to go forward, swings and other play ground equipment
  • 45 mins to hang on.
  • He rarely ever changes at h/t no matter how bad we are tbh
  • All's not lost. Most of this Millwall team played the other night. They could tire on a cold wet evening. And if Doughty, Williams., Aneke can start running at them there's hope.

I think McGeady was playing LWB at the end there and Deji had moved inside so we're more likely to see Doughty on for McGeady
  • Sarr for Oshilaja and Alfie for McGeady. Three at the back, Alfie on the left and Albie on the right.

Got better in the latter parts.

Our finishing is a joke, though. Team of spongefoots.
Bonne can belt them, as can Hemed, seems like they're both scared to shoot tonight.
I think they might need reminding because since they came back, it's like they've been tapping the ball with a golf putter
  • As we've gone to a back 5 though, Doughty for the booked Oshilaja must be on the cards

It won’t be long before he’s on .
