Late to the party, as usual ...... but the ball was there to be won, both players dived in; how can one player be penalised and not the other? Maddison had studs down, was quicker and decisive, winning the ball cleanly.
The only player to have studs up dangerously was the opponent.
Whether it was a red or not one has to say that this blokes career is yet again shrouded in controversy and despair. Some people are just meant to have a bizarre disruptive life.....as far as his football career is going, that is clearly the case.....whether by design, bad luck or karma, it just keeps happening.

Cos one player writhed around on the floor and his teammates surrounded the ref. Made the decision for him

Number 7 knew he was going to get sent off. He went in studs up with the yellow boot with the black boot just behind. Brainless is a generous description for Maddison. He's just cost Bolton 2 points as Morecambe have equalised and match drawn.
First he is accused of jumping out of s tackle and now brainless except, lookat the action before you start reinforcing a biased prejudice again.
You're getting muddled again. He jumped out of the tackle playing for Charlton. He got sent off for lunging in on a Morecambe player 12 mins after coming on. I've watched it about 10 times thanks. I'm not in the least surprised that you would defend the brainless.
Covered End...Red card over turned....stick that in your pipe and smoke it...
He didn't lunge into the Morecambe player . If you had to watch that and still came to the wrong conclusion it says much for your judgement or bias.
I agree with the ref, although I'll concede it was an "orange" card.
Not exactly getting a glowing enforcement from either Watson or Pratley tonight... Basically saying that he needs to knuckle down in training more and that Bolton is last chance saloon!!

Careful you don't want Henry knowing your leaking........

Pratley's jealous that Maddison's red card was overturned and his wasn't

Bolton had someone else sent off today. Kettle was the referee:
the fifth time in six games that referee Trevor Kettle has sent off a Bolton player.
He's the sort of person who dreamt of being a Footballer when he was a kid wasnt he? - Either he kept getting picked last or some better kid nutmegged him once but feels he's got a right thing against Footballers

(...now we wait)

Kettle must be the most hated referee in the EFL.
