Interesting that Tracey was eager to wish him well. I’m sure if he’d done something wrong, like people seem to be suggesting, Tracey wouldn’t add a comment like this.
I think Tracey's just a very supportive and kind person and wants to see everyone succeed, whatever their experience/history/contribution at Charlton
Doesn't leave that sort of message on every outgoing player's socials though

Yep I tend to agree I think Tracey sees the good in every player, nothing wrong with that in my eyes.
She's probably got an insight to his personal stuff that's unsettled him during the past year.
Lots of people think Maddison is a prize pr*ck but nevertheless he's still a human being also. I mean, remember that photo from yesterday with his tiny little girl - it was obvious they hadn't seen each other for a while and were so happy to be together again.
You know, part of me believes that if only Marcus could go home to his little daughter every night - then we would no doubt see a different Marcus.

From the rumours on here it doesn't sound like he needs any encouragement in the smashing department.

Wouldn't have been a problem if he wernt caught cheating on her mum when they were together no doubt 🙈

Many couples go through one of or both of them making the same mistake. Not most or all but many.
Regular visiting or shared parenting is more often than not the outcome.
It's clear Marcus has issues, potentially a sex addiction as well as his clear as day mental health issues.

Ah, yes ....... that's the problem when some people rely on Mr John Thomas for guidance.
Addicks have an option to extend his stay at the Valley by a further 12 months this summer, but it is likely that he has played his last game for the League One promotion hopefuls.
Maddison has opened up over his move to Bolton to their YouTube channel: “As soon as I heard about it, I didn’t want to come nowhere else. The opportunity came to play football and do the best I can for a club in a position where really they shouldn’t be and I just want to come and get them back where they used to be.
“It was never a problem for me. I don’t really see it as a drop down as it’s such a big club. I had offers in League One but to have the chance to come here, that was immediately what I wanted to do.”

When he has a blinder at Bolton, I hope we renew his contract and whore him round to the highest bidder

Sometimes people just don't get along. Maybe not everyone at Charlton will miss MM but perhaps Tracey is one that genuinely will.
One of my colleagues is universally unpopular, whereas I get on with him great, to the level that he's the only one I socialise with outside work. I find him blunt, honest and with integrity. Others find him objectionable, argumentative and unpleasant. Marmite I guess!

Interesting if true
Surely can't be. If he had offers in league one, why on earth would he sign for a club sitting 20th in league 2.

I hope you are not referring to the older lady who contacted him via social media!!

Location maybe 🤔
I think that will be the influence. He's always stated that he wanted to move back up north and he's now, more or less, equidistant between his daughter in Peterborough and his roots in Durham. That probably would automatically rule out half of the teams that aren't in the right vicinity and the other half that don't want him.

Can't believe I'm typing that to be honest lol
Apologies if already posted:

I'm not saying I think your assumption is wrong.
Many a good tune to be played on an old fiddle.
