Thanks for the updates. Did he answer anything about our injury record?
New physio coming in to be announced soon , new equipment going in , something about some machinery to help test the strength of hamstrings
I think he said new physio to be announced today and is someone who knows the club well! But I may have misheard.
    Simon Webster?
  • Either Errol or an ex player like Webbo or Wiggins.
  • Actually he may have said it the other way round - "it's someone Charlton know well!"
  • It's probably.one of the following

    Wayne Diesel
    George Cooper
    Erol
    Webbo

  • Would Wiggins have amassed enough experience to be named head physio?

  • Great evening thanks to everyone for organising.

I can’t think of any previous Charlton owners who have been so accessible and so liked by the supporters.

    A thoroughly decent bloke.

On the subject of mascots perhaps we could employ Farnell, Elliot and Southall to take on the roles because with any luck they’ll all be out of work soon and will have plenty of time on their hands. Plus they all love the club so much and only want the best and so it’s the least they can do, surely?
I 100% get the non serious nature of your comment. Even in jest, that job is to good for them! I would like to see them cleaning the toilet floors in the ground after half time.....with their tongues!
  • Essential watching for any Charlton fan and almost 2 hours well spent.

My main takeaway was his knowledge of small details related to the club, which gives me confidence as it shows he’s genuinely hands on and investing his time due to being committed to this project. There is no way he should know who or what Floyd or Harvey are, let alone what the shopping experience is like in the club shop or the relative minutiae of its outsourcing arrangements.

The CAST guys did well once they warmed into it and were no doubt thrown by the guitar start. Thank you, this is a great example of what the Trust can do in ‘normal’ times

The only issue was not asking him when the potholes in the car park would be fixed ;)
I hope he never has the potholes filled in. In a few years when we are playing in the Champions League regularly it will be the only thing we can moan about.

Looking to have a Fan Liaison Officer, not sure how that's going to pan out.
    That was my question.

Depending how much they expect and what the pay may be like, I’ll apply.
Please do @Sage  This was the one thing that troubled me last night. It would be awful for that role to go to some wannabe character rather than someone who can work across all areas of the fanbase.
Yeah would be my concern too...

I think if people are to apply then they need to be able to detach themselves emotionally from what happens on the pitch

Just to add further, it sounds like we didnt even have the most basic of treatment previously

Now it sounds we're going to try and get some things in that the big clubs in England, Europe, MLS all utilise

He initially wants to look within the fan base, don't quote exactly me but his words were something like 'he'll be looking for a retired/semi retired ex company CEO or similar who could work right across the fanbase'. If there's no one suitable within the fanbase (he mentioned interviews!) he's prepared to look outside and make it paid job (all be it part time I believe).

So not sure at this juncture if it was a fan if TS would make it a a paid role or not, all will become clearer soon I expect.

Don't doubt @sage would be great but we already have a supporters' liaison officer

Thanks to CAS Trust and TS for an excellent evening. What an amazing contrast between last night and those strangulated, stage managed, content controlled and censored events endured by Meire (and shunned by Duchatalet). Thomas was warm, engaging, inspiring and as open as he was legally possible to be.

Very well managed by all the Trust Board members present, but with a special mention for Sam who handled the selection of questions and prompting of Thomas very well indeed.
Yes well done Sam for sensibly ignoring my question about how much Money Mouthall walked away with even though it got enough up votes! ;)
  • Tia Walby is the Fan's Liason Officer, although it's stated as "interim."

Mr Sandgaard had an amazing attention to detail, seemed across everything and nothing fazed him.
The event was excellent and provided a great platform to help fans to get a handle on what kind of man Thomas is.
The Trust and the owner both shone brightly yesterday evening, and as I write I believe Mr Sandgaard is flying in to the UK.
For that event alone the measley £5 annual membership fee for CAST is well worth it, and for Mr Sandgaard a season ticket, or media subscription is well worth it too.
If you watch it for the first time try starting out as cynical and suspicious as you can be, and see how you feel by the end.
I found him to be irrisistable and extremely impressive.
nicely put mate. (hope you are all well)
  • What does Flow do?

Oh it was you. :-) The way it was phrased made it most unlikely it was going to be asked, because Sam was otherwise playing a straight bat and reading out all questions exactly as phrased. But I doubt TS'd have wanted to talk about any settlements anyway, and there would be confidentiality clauses.

    One of my questions was:

"The speculation is that Roland Duchatelet wants to retain The Valley as a potentially profitable property development site. Has that featured in your initial discussions with him about the valuation of The Valley?"

That was the most liked question that didn't get asked. But no complaints from me. The hosts need to judge which questions might have been likely to make Thomas more guarded than he was.
