Mea culpa....with knobs on. Itchy hair shirt duly donned.
I wish to apologise for my lack of belief that our club would manage to organise the difficult & challenging task of "distributing" 2,000 seats at very short notice for the match tomorrow evening.
My main concerns centred around the priority issue and the possible problem of identifying correctly the postcode/tier in which fans reside.
Furthermore, on a personal level, I remember referring to the "bubbles" we had been asked to identify a while ago but which might not be considered at this juncture.
Oh me of little faith !
Too many seasons of inadequate management during the Duchatelet era had seriously taken their toll on my belief that a fair & well thought out system might be implemented....although during the latter years, Katie & her team had brilliantly overseen the sale of POTY tickets for us.
But the now fading memory ( thank the lawd!) of "Mandy, Oh Mandy, who came and messed up before leaving", remains in the depths of my mind....
It seems clear that the Ticket Office listened to the concerns of fans, mainly via this hallowed site, and CAST among others which is highly gratifying, especially as the majority was creative criticism & on the whole voiced the same questions that most of us needed answers to.
As a result, in my view, a clear, concise system of allocation has emerged which is testament to the work & very long hours that the Ticket Office team has invested into the framework we now have.
My family group of 5 failed to make the cut yesterday & a degree of concern was whether Wadhurst had been lumped into tier 3 alongside its neighbour, Tunbridge Wells but today's email confirmed that this was not the case.
With 2 teenagers at different schools and a younger grandson requiring a baby sitter, the email received at 2.30 pm today was sadly too late for arrangements to be made and so, we decided to have our "numbered ball" put back in the hat for priority on the 12th when childcare & travel together will not be a problem. As I understand it from the welcome updates on the OS, this will be the way the system is designed.
So, for those of you who will be making the noise at our home tomorrow, enjoy & cheer the lads on to victory for Fanny & co, please.
I'll be watching via VP in the company of Terrific Terry and Gorgeous Greg, raising my glass of Lidl's finest, nervously crunching 3 M&S humbugs ( HAS to be 3 !) and terrifying our quiet, Japanese neighbour with my high pitched, triumphant screams ( hopefully) at intervals.
Thursday morning will invariably see a big grin on his face accompanied by a salacious wink when he catches sight of Mr F in the garden...
If he only knew !
Well done OUR club ! It's good to have you back !
Fanny: so you got an email telling you that you were unsuccessful in the ballot? I have had no email despite living in BR6 (Orpington/LB BROMLEY). Should I be worried then that the club think I am in tier 3?
Did anyone else in BR6 or LBB get an email saying they were also unsuccessful?
No. No email to say unsuccessful but she received the email regarding the 2.30pm tickets which just reassured us that we were put in the right tier x
....ok, no now I am worried that they think BR6 is in KENT/Tier 2
Hope everyone who goes enjoys themselves, I couldn't afford a season ticket this year so was planning on going as and when I could afford it lol then obviously there were no fans and now its season ticket holders only, or if you have the higher points.
I should point out as its not easy to get a point across i am not moaning lol, i think thats a very fair way of doing things, just gutted I wont be attending like many others are.
Anyway as I say everyone who does go, enjoy being back and cheering on the boys
I saw the video about not bringing bags etc if possible - Does anyone know if we're able to bring flasks? That free hot chocolate won't last past kick off!
Assume all those without STs, moaning that they couldn't get a ticket, had enough points to get one of the few remaining?
My sole gripe at the moment is I'm in T3 yet cant use my CAFC Cash to get the stream for tonight
Havent been able to do it for a few days now - Am sure it'll get sorted (at least I hope) but us in T3 appear forgotten
Think/hope no CAFC Cash stream purchases been possible yet Hoping the link will be added now that the attendee ticket issue/sales have been completed
Yeah I'm keeping an eye out and presume the option will be up soon
Will be a little annoyed if I effectively cant use my season ticket but ho hun, nothing I can do about it if thats the case
This is a problem i foresaw earlier in the thread, for everybody's benefit including the clubs, the ballots & people claiming tickets has to be sorted earlier so that the unfortunate fans who cannot attend matches can obtain the Valley cash, passwords etc in plenty of time to purchase the streams.

I'm assuming it's advisory, rather than a rule. I'm not going out without a bag and refreshments on what will be a LONG evening!
Delighted for everyone who got a ticket, make sure VFR rings around the ground nice and loud, I will look forward to hearing you all in full voice on the stream.
Couldn't be luckier, couldn't be happier to have bagged a place in the East Stand. But my heart is with so many thousands who can't be there, and also with those we have lost. As far as I'm concerned it is my solemn and joyful duty to make the noise of ten fans. Of course this evening is for me, but it is for everybody else too and I will do my best. I know there will be many absentees who will be alongside me in spirit, they will be in my thoughts and hopefully also in the thoughts of the whole two thousand of us. COYR's
Apart from just the sheer relief and pleasure of getting out of the house, going over to SE7, getting to see the Valley again and under floodlights too, tomorrows match is hugely symbolic. It will be the first time in at least 8 years, probably more, that I have watched my team play without the backdrop of, at best, huge concern and dissatisfaction with the club's ownership and, at worst, being at war with them. Now I'm 100% behind the owner, 100% behind the manager AND 100% behind the team. So, I'll be on my own, maybe waving to a few scattered mates, no doubt freezing my nuts off, and not getting home to leafy Berkshire until around 12.30am - but it'll be magic. I'm as excited as a kid on Christmas Eve!
Aren't you on the vulnerable age list?
I've got a "George Clooney lookalike" exemption certificate
I’m jealous! Enjoy the live experience everyone! Hopefully Tunbridge Wells will be floated off from the more diseased areas of Kent before too long. Sing your hearts out and COYR!!!
4 of us refused to renew our season tickets because of the previous situation upstairs.
My son said to me dad, they’ve got 200 tickets left for tonight’s game, do you want to go?
I knew people would be desperate to go, so said no son, I’d rather sit in front of the fire and watch it on telly!
If I said I was going to sit outside in my garden for 2-3 hours, people would have said I’d gone nuts!!!
I always get ill in the winter time when I go to a match, must have a low immune system or something, chuck in 2000 people that may unknowingly have covid / may have had it and it puts me right off.
Assume all those without STs, moaning that they couldn't get a ticket, had enough points to get one of the few remaining?
Well I guess you mean me. I do have more than enough points, but as I said, I am in tier 3, over 65, and will not be going near the ground until I have had the vaccination.

Not going tonight as i am in Tier 3 - To everyone who is lucky enough to be at the Valley - have a great time and lets hear you singing non stop on the Stream COYR
By the way, if you see some dickhead filming other fans without looking at the game at one point, that's probably me - I've been asked to get some footage for ITV of fans in the ground.

Anyone know if kids also need ID or just the adults?
