I’m really surprised people are so not bothered about being asked to turn up at 6 o’clock for a game that kicks off at 7:45. I appreciate why, but if that was me, and then the prospect of being held back for another 30 mins after the game ! I think I’d rather stick with the stream.
An no I don’t think this makes me less of a supporter. I just can’t stand the thought sitting in the ground for so, long waiting. Especially as the main event is MK DONS.
That's your choice to make. It wasn't too bad for the Doncaster game on a Saturday afternoon in September, but might get a tad chilly tonight, hence planning a couple of extra layers!!
Only just read through this thread and I'm just completely stunned that anyone could think that someone who hasn't already paid for a ticket should have the same opportunity to go as someone who has already paid for a ticket. Especially as 3,000 people who have already paid are missing out as it is.
Still tickets left, so all those ST holders can't be in that much of a rush to claim whats rightfully there's. Nice position to be in, pick and choose and potentially leave seats empty.... so no, nobody thats paid is missing out unless they have chosen to or are in tier 3.
Great idea to produce the video. Personally I am still not sure whether a mask has to worn once sitting in your seat (Apologies if I missed this as was watching Richard W on the news in parallel to the video). Would also like to know whether the Sam Bertram exit will be open for east stand fans to leave by after the game.
The Sam Bartram exit will not be available - the video shows you must exit by the way you entered.

Am I being particularly stupid; I can'r see any way to use my CAFC cash to buy a stream for tonight?? (I'm a season ticket holder living in Tier 3).
In normal circumstances you only have until 9am on the day before the game to use CAFC cash. The adjustments being made with people getting tickets complicated it this time.

Mask to be worn at all times. Worth getting a decent one.
Are we sure that information video applies to tonight's game as I cannot find it on the OS? I ask as the video says you should not bring in a bag unless absolutely necessary..................

So what's your point?
It just means the way it's been done is the correct way.
Any tickets remaining are rightfully being made available to non-season ticket holders, this doesn't change the fact that season ticket holders should have first refusal.
In no universe should someone without a ticket be included in a ballot with ticket holders. It's nonsensical.

Non season ticket holders are not being offered spares, unless I missed that memo and if there are spares, I dont see how its worked out perfect.
Admitedly its hard for the club though, as if they decide to allocate 10% for general sale in future.. there would be uproar from ST holders.

"Once the second redemption deadline has passed, the club’s ticket office will calculate how many tickets remain for Wednesday’s game and tickets, should there be any left, will become available for purchase to all supporters as soon as possible, using the club’s loyalty point system."
Looks like you missed the memo.
Edit: See you've just edited your post.
Of course it isn't perfect, none of this is perfect. We're only allowed 2000 fans, it's very far from perfect! and if the club decide to allocate 10% of tickets to general sale, the uproar from ST holders would be fully justified.
Has any one been refunded their cafc cash yet for this game, so they can buy a stream. I was not selected in the ballot, I am glad to say as I could not make this game, and did not take up the offer to redeem a ticket yesterday afternoon. But would like to buy the stream using my season ticket money as usual.

Any suggestion that ST holders don’t get first refusal on all the tickets and the next time an event like this occurs, and sadly COVID is probably the first of many, the club will look back on that figure of 4,861 and be amazed it sold so many.
From club Twitter - A small amount of tickets for tonight's game will be made available to supporters with 250 loyalty points at 11am.
The tickets are priced at a special, one-off fan return price of £20 for adults, with prices down to £5 for Under 11s.
Imagine they have set it at a level that won't get thousands of applicants; I'm 230 too. Really good to do this, making maximum effort to to get as many in the ground as possible.
Only around 100 tickets remain for tonight’s game at The Valley which will see Lee Bowyer’s boys play in front of 2,000 fans as supporters return to the stadium.
Tickets for the game against Milton Keynes Dons will become available from 11am to supporters with a minimum of 250 loyalty points.
Should any tickets remain, supporters with 100 loyalty points or more will be able to purchase tickets from 11.30am.

On Tuesday tickets were made available to all season-ticket holders in Tier Two and now only around 100 remain, so supporters wanting to get to tonight’s game are advised to be ready to purchase at 11am.
Supporters looking to opt-out of tonight's games for medical reasons are advised to contact the ticket office by 11am, by emailing tickets@cafc.co.uk.
The video states that Egress will be similar to a church?
I always thought the Valley was a church, its the only place I've worshipped for the past 50+ years.
Leaving the ground row by row and block by block sounds more like school assembly than church.
Our old church in Plumstead, St Patrick’s, had an adjacent social club which, in the old days of restricted licensing hours, opened at 7:00pm on Sunday evenings. The 6:30 evening mass (which we used to go to when I was a kid) ended around 7:15 and people were out of church and into the club quicker than shit out of a duck’s arse. Some of my dad’s thirsty friends used to congregate at the back near the exit and, in a kind of prequel to FatherTed, were highly critical of priests who were ‘slow’ in getting through the service.
I suspect that the Tuesday night Brizzle Rovers game will have tickets available for non season ticket holders as well, seeing that it's 3 days after a Saturday game

you have not been able to buy a stream on the day of a game with CAFC cash.
Well i hope that has changed now, for those people in tier 2 who did not get a ticket for tonight's game, a bit much to make them pay more than any one else to watch the game on the stream. I did not opt out of the ballot did not get selected, as I said I could not have gone tonight but would hope to do the other midweek games as well as Saturdays, which is why I did not opt out. Opting out is not just for one match remember.
I will be there tonight and looking forward to being back, it won't be a much smaller gate that the 4,000 or so who were dottedaround the valley for my first game back in the early 70's. With no refeshments inside the ground does anyone know whether the burger van opposite the club shop will be allowed to open?

I think you're right @kiilerandflash. I believe demand will also be suppressed by the game's proximity to Christmas Day, given that some season ticket holders will be seeing aged relatives and won't want to risk infecting them or jeopardising visits by having to self-isolate after coming into contact with someone who's tested positive. I certainly fall into that category and suspect that quite of few others will as well.

The main event is CHARLTON ATHLETIC.
Already had interviews with Richard Wiseman and his cap and with Wayne Mumford.
