Another Bury fan here and colleague of Kin. Lots of interest and questions about your banner, both at the game and online. It has resonated with fans. I was really proud to display it in our ground, What that banner has seen and been through, maybe ourselves coming back from a difficult position was meant to be. A huge thank you to Ben and Clive from chathmuseum. And also for your kind words and support.

No consolation for Bury fans, but I hope they can take some comfort from the fact that the publicity Farnell and his cronies are now getting should help prevent them ever getting their thieving talons on any other football club. I still think the EFL should have done more for them.
Who are the geezers locked in those little cells to the left of the left hand goal? Have they been made to watch the game as part of their community service or something? :-)

Hmm. Which club are they proposing to give the money too?
Last I heard the supporter base up there had fractured and there were two main camps with neither looking for reconciliation. Which is sad as it sounds very much like the supporters branch dick waving we see from ti e to time, but far more serious.
Hopefully something like this can unite the factions.

Each time the commentator said "Bury" with his accent my mind kept going to Jerry the Berry from Phoenix Nights though.
A government-run community ownership fund has pledged to give Bury fans £1m towards buying their Gigg Lane ground, if they can raise the same figure.
The fund could pave the way towards a return to football at the stadium, before it is sold to developers.
Bury were expelled from the English Football League in August 2019 and went into administration in November 2020.
Secretary of State for Levelling Up Michael Gove said: "We are helping put power back into Bury fans' hands."
