Certainly the best dressed photo of the year, and the food looks decent as well. Pretentious? who cares...

    BUT

there is a reason your round edged gammon and round edged potatoes seem to be sitting precariously on the edge of your plate, and that's because your staff seem to have inadvertently served your food on a square platter. I would rush below stairs and give them a good thrashing for such incompetence if I were you.

If you allow it to go unpunished, before you know it they'll be presenting your cheese course on a piece of slate...

Not an Xmas dinner but an entry on the excellent @ratemyplate twitter handle.

    :- )

  • Those chips are a far better effort than 99% of the roast potato efforts submitted for judgement over xmas.

This should just be a year-round thread of meals people are proud enough to share and then we can all slag off.

I thought the thread said, Replacement Plate Service, another of BR witty ideas.

No wonder you’re all fat, the size of the portions on those plates!

Clearly no thought for the starving millions around the 🌎;)

Fill it with a nice stew.
Once had a pub meal in Charlwood I think it's called..somewhere near Crawley. Venison stew In a giant Yorkshire pud. I still remember after almost 10yrs it was that good.

Well done you made me hungry with that pic, the dolphin is hard to erase now though 😅

I loved rate my plate the other year, I especially loved that they were anonymous and the amount of people who didn't quite understand how rate my plate works and went defensive
  • Bumping this post in anticipation of my favorite CL time of the year.
