Tonight we're back on the road to face Brazil ..... or at least that's who we made them look like at our place, as they mullered our midfield with a gameplan and guile that we had little match for.
We've seen a definite improvement in performance in recent matches, but despite a more balanced side, the results have not gone our way.
You know, sometimes you can't afford to squander gilt edged chances or get punished for every defensive lapse.
Lee Bowyer agrees:
“We're close. We can't keep having the opportunities we're making and not scoring more goals. But we have to improve on the defensive side. We can't keep giving away sloppy goals and handing teams two-goal head starts. "You can say that again, Lee.
Injuries? Just both the 1st choice CBs and the Chelsea lad. Watson and Maddo could be added to the Matchday 18. Purrington has finally been promised a start. Red shirts/black shorts are our colours tonight.
Charlton: Amos; Matthews, Gunter, Oshilaja, Purrington; Shinnie, Pratley (C), Forster-Caskey, Millar; Stockley, Washington
Substitutes: Maynard-Brewer, Pearce, Watson, Morgan, Williams, Aneke, Schwartz

Your standards are slipping
You were really nice about it though!
If I'm running late, I'll post the thread.
And edit in the regular info after.
Forever was right.
It's like being married.
Only positive is that LB has worked out Skip has lost it.
Although if he's being utilised in defence as part of a 3-5-2 Id question why he is starting and not Pearce
Smart, eh?
Good thinking Bows.
Millar;
Stockley, Washington
I don't hate that at all. I'd have had Morgan in there, but we'll probably aim to utilise his fitness as others (Shinnie) tires.
