"I have to say Albie has come into the side and performed really well."

So he's benched at best for Saturday.
I wouldnt say he was that good today, feel he's played better and that he drifted in and out of the game too much.

Is it enough to replace him with Smith... Probably not
Is it enough to replace him with Shinnie... Maybe
  • Thought we looked a different team when Shinnie came on. Weren’t particularly pretty but a deserved win. Wanna see more from Millar as he’s definitely got it. Shrewsbury and brizzle at home are surely winnable now.
  • In shock, we won a home game

Obviously going to be harder games than tonight but if we can get six points we can start keeping a closer eye on the games others have in hand

2-1 home win to Northampton Town in the 3rd Division!

    My cup runneth over...
I know what you mean, but a win is a win and a couple of weeks ago we wouldn’t have got anything out of that.  Still don’t think we’re strong enough to get in the play offs but it’s a tight league

Just need to keep focus and try and finish the season as strongly as we can.  Not convinced we’re finishing any higher than about 8th, but a lot of the teams up there seem capable of poor results as well, so it may be who can not slip up as opposed to who can go on a run
Lots of teams playing poorly at present. Even some of those teams that had about 27 games in hand on us are struggling...

  • A win is a win and 3 points are more important than the performance imo. Confidence will build and as I said yesterday still alot of points to play for. Other teams will drop points we just need to win our games 750-1 on 365 for us to win the league is still worth a punt imo
  • Small margins. We finally have started looking solid in defence, our run of bad form was all about defensive weakness at heart. In the second half we looked as if we were losing our grip before a dodgy pen, then comfortable until the last two minutes. 1 point off the playoffs amazingly and Portsmouth and others now on bad runs. Still all to play for.

Yeah but that was from Bowyer!

  • Good result. 20 more points required to give ourselves a decent shot at top six.
  • Apart from the last 5 minutes a rare game I'd say we full value for those 3 points.

Northampton were not great, but most of the teams we play are not great, but that was the most comfortable I've felt watching us in a long time.
I think you are being generous there, They were effing awful!

  • So much better defensively, without D.O.

Still not great on final pass but much more organised.

Win next two and might get interesting.

  • I don't get people saying it was a dodgy penalty.
If that happened in the street it would be assault.

I thought the Northampton player jumped for the ball - JFC on the other hand saw the opportunity and jumped into the Northampton player who was already in the air

If it was on the street it would be one of those instances where you see those idiots claiming they've been knocked down by a car yet its the person that has thrown themselves in front of the car
  • Bowyer got a bit more commitment from the players, it seemed to me. We played at a faster, more competitive temp throughout. Took us a while to really get started, though, and for most of the game we seemed to win very few balls in the air. I thought Watson and Forster-Caskey kept a grip on things in midfield and Washington's two goals were well taken. Thank goodness its a home win at last.

Good performance. Washington is such a good pro and player. Modern day Gary Nelson.
Next five games are the season. Next four are all struggling teams, three at home. Then Doncaster away.
I’m starting to believe again. Bloody Charlton.

Crewe game might yet be called off as its during an International break

Gunter | Washington | Millar could all be called up for that to happen - Its frustrating actually as this run is potentially being put together right before that potential break, its a repeat of what happened in October!!
