A fascinating read and story. I’ve always known that our football club has real unsung heroes and nothing is a better example than the actions of those there that night, before and since. You all equally have my real gratitude. We really do have a special support.
Get the feeling Farnell was waiting in the car park just in case he could take a Range Rover home that night.
Still feel Amis and some of the other players are currently getting off lightly.
Although I agree with you mate dont forget Amis has lost the ability to do what we all crave and go to watch our club. He wont be able to do that again so I'm not sure he has got away totally free

Perhaps not in a high profile seat but I’m sure he’d go unnoticed in a bobble hat in the East Stand.

The thought of Farnell cowering in his car all night trying to orchestrate the proceedings and urging all and sundry to manhandle Mouthall down the stairs without the correct paperwork to back up such actions speaks volumes. Fortunately Mouthall calling the police assisted in getting him out, and funny that the correct paperwork arrived a day late, how did that happen i wonder! What a night it turned out to be.
Brilliant article. Some of that made me shake with anger and frustration even after a year has passed. Didn’t think my opinion of Southall and Amis could go any lower, but that article has done exactly that. Hope the pair of them still have something bad to come in life.
A very well written article, but WOW what a bunch of hero's!! All our collective thanks to everyone involved in getting that SCUM out of our club (and that includes Farnell). To put your jobs on the line to save our club is extraordinary. Now we have TS and the fact he has authorised this story to be told is excellent. After all the many wrong'uns we've had in charge over the last few years, TS is a complete breath of fresh air!! Thank god he arrived when he did!!!
I wish he would authorise @Ollywozere to #ReleaseTheTapes
IMHO.....that article should be sent out to every club in The EFL and somehow posted on every fans forum too. This will ensure that no one.....and we do mean no one, will be left in any doubt as to the despicable actions of Southall...Elliott and their cronies in order to keep them out of the world of professional football club ownership for eternity.

Agent Hayes and his crew sit in The East Stand........don’t underestimate their network,😉😎🤫
Brilliant - all deserve their place in the history of our club.
Henners paraphrasing Dylan Thomas is my highlight of the article!
Someone has to be the intellectual one Bob.
Most remarkable outcome of the night? Me getting a feckin promote
There was an assumption made from the account that you were an active participant in the boardroom action. I had visions of MuseumMan bursting into action, pinning Southall to the floor with a rarely seen historical artefact (I had in my head a 1947 wooden rattle wedged to his throat). 12 months on we learn you were a mere external loiterer.
With regret, 2 Promotes have been removed as a result. Sad times.

With bursting chest, he Unzips his cardigan to reveal.......... ...another cardigan!
The most fascinating article I’ve read in a long time. The actions of those involved helped save our club at risk to themselves and their livelihoods. Southall comes across as an awful, smarmy, nasty man. Total contrast to the wonderful people we have at the club. We owe them a great debt of gratitude.
Also, one of the other great additions to the Charlton family recently is Benjy. What a fantastic writer he is and really gets the club and what makes us tick.

I'm not sure he would mate !
Can’t say I’d recognise him. Need some ‘Wanted’ posters plastered about.

Exactly most people wouldn't know who he was or what he'd done but hopefully he'll meet payback time asap along with all the other wrong uns.
Someone please confirm that Mouthall is going to get his comeuppance... he seems to have got away with it so far.
Pity I’m not 40 years younger.....I’d shit through his letter box.....and that would just be for starters! 😤
You don't have to hoist yourself up to letterbox level, just do it in a jug & pour it through. Of course not that I'm suggesting that you carry out what I'm sure would be an illegal use of your shit.

I'm sure it was said at the time, but if that had been an episode of Dream Team, people would've said it was too far fetched.
😂
