Doesn't seem much like we're building anything new at this stage.
No one moaned about Cullen or DeSilva returning in loan few times ..
  • Two good players at this level might come available, and that’s not ok to some. Oh well.

the rebuild is happening, sure we’ll see more signings in the coming weeks

    1. It's a perspective not a moan.

    2. We have been told we're rebuilding, it's not a reach to expect that to mean a number of new signings, not the same ones that were part of a failed squad last season.

I don't mind either or both of them rejoining as don't think we'll get much better at this level.

So far the only players openly mentioned as targets were all here last season on loan and only one has actually signed a permanent deal.

Fwiw I think Millar and Maatsen will join championship sides.

But if Adkins would have been here 1 month earlier, they would probably have been part of a squad that at the very least made the playoffs.
  • Good stuff we can play Maatsen up top off of Stockley
  • Gut feeling there will be a signing announced today

Probably not, we won under Jackson and Bowyer won 2 and drew 2 of his last 4, and that came after that terrible performance against Blackpool.

It takes a special sort of person to criticise other people’s grammar!  That person you are criticising may have learning difficulties, have dyslexia or just may not have had a good education because of circumstances!  Sometimes it doesn’t take a lot to push someone over the edge & this is a form of humiliation & bullying. Not nice so be kind!
The person we had at school,  our English teacher, thought we all had learning difficulties. The strange thing was we all passed English Language GCE with good grades , all 32 of us.

He told us it was a miracle and he (an active Socialist and devout Atheist said he was adopting religion.
It just really pisses me!  Maybe these people have a small penis & feel the need to make themselves feel important!  😜
Aaaaaagh! Brainless Americanisms ruining our language. Just don't!

PS: I'm not sure about my todger. I'll ask the missus what she thinks.

Post a photo of it on here and we can take a vote.
You would have to take the photo yourself, Tubby. Feel free to come over if you're really that keen.

    JOKE!

  • All this chat about BMW’s does get me thinking we could do with signing a quality youngish midfielder with a good engine.
    German?

These latest rumours please me. I have been saying for ages if we replaced the 5 worst players with 5 players who would be our best players the rest of the squad was fine.

It would be nice to have about 18 by the 1st of July though.   I still think a couple of contracted players might go as well.  Still a lot to do.

I have never owned a BMW.
Mrs cafcfan has a BMW and has no penis of any size. My Maserati is a 4x4 but runs 100% to the rear wheels unless it detects any slippage. Rear wheel drive is far and away preferable. Front wheel drive is cheaper to manufacture that's why it is common.

It’s a well known fact that these people also drive BMW’s.
You couldn't  pay me to drive a BMW !  Actually not quite true. I had one as a company car.  Awful cars really.  They attract thieves and loonies who hate BMW owners.

First day I had it it was broken into at Charlton. Up until 1 am while it was repaired so I could drive to Gateick to go to Brussels for a meeting.

Invariably other drivers cut you up or try to race you. Or even threaten you.

Horrible rear wheel drive cars with heavy steering and heavier clutch.
BMW  Buses Made in Workington is a suitable description.

There must have been an outbreak of small penises since I had one judging by the number on the roads now if that assertion is true.
    I've driven BMW's for about 15 years.
Never been broken into, never been stolen, no one has cut me up or tried to race me or threaten me, light touch steering, beautiful clutch, never had anything go wrong ever.
Apart from that I agree with you.
Maybe just me but I’ve found traffic lights always turn green as BMW and Mercedes drivers approach - how many years since you last had stop at a red light?
They were still flogging g rear wheel drive cars until a little while ago. Why ?  Nobody else does now.
Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche,  Mazda, Ford, Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lambourghini, Chevrolet....... even the Ford Lincoln that JFC done his ACL in.

    Oh, and most commercial vehicles.

Apart from that you're spot on once again.

Apart from an awful American car most of those are sports cars . Not exactly high on most peoples agendas.  Maybe a classic car but force everyday use ?

I can't  remember a Ford Europe rear wheel drive since the Ford Escort Mk 2.

BMW are the main rear wheel drive manufacturer or were recently. Your list looks big but isn't compelling when you consider  the models produced.
Meanwhile, back to the Rumours !

It's def been a while but I can honestly say, this is now seriously getting on my t*ts !
I agree.  It is annoying.  I preferred fish pubs.  People being people,  everyone wants the last word though. However  in the absence of any sign of a rumour and only one signing any diversion is better than the silence that has become CAFC where the latest news is vaccinations .Is the 911 call centre still there too ?
Now you’ve got my attention “fish pubs” where the punters drink like, well, um, fish I suppose?
  • Be happy with Maatsen, was critical of him at times last season but it’s naive to forget how young he is and he will improve from last season mo doubt.

Millar, not that fussed I must admit but if we have options in that position I’d welcome him in the squad.
  • What both  Gallen and Adkins are saying is that our new squad won't be fully formed until the end of the transfer window on August 31. We will play the first half dozen games in August with a makeshift team, probably including fringe youth players. Then it will take time to gell the last signings into the team, we will not be hitting the ground running.
Things have changed since the Powell promotion year when we could tell from the first game we had a very good side.
  • Is rumour-mongering better or worse than idle speculation? (BMW's run-flat tyres are the pits though!)
  • Oggy Red said:
Do we need a total rebuild though? I'd say the nucleus of the squad is already there and it's just a question of bringing in sufficient quality to enhance the team.

Because there has been a scarcity of rumours or anything leaked by the ITK, some people seem to get the impression nothing is happening.
I'm sure Steve Gallen & co won't agree though!

Myself, I'm perfectly happy to leave the squad building to the professionals.
And if nothing gets leaked before signings are made - that's good, in means we are going about our business in a professional way.

Exactly 5 worst out 5 "best" in and we will be fine :-)

Is it? At the moment we only have one GK who is very inexperienced, one decent CB and not much in either CM or out wide. Agree with the rest of the post though, no reason to be panicked in the middle of June.

  • I would be very happy to get both of these back into the team. The Famwoe situation is a bit weird though as I have been trying to keep an eye out for anything being said by either himself or Norwich but total silence. I'm hoping we are trying to sign the bloke and thats why there hasnt been a " I really enjoyed my time " speech from the player but thats more than likely me living in hope lol. It is strange nothing has been said though imo
  • Article taken from the Eastern Daily press this morning.

There may be some Norwich City fans fretting about the wait for new signings ahead of the Premier League season – but they are in good company.

The Canaries are one of 14 teams in the Premier League yet to officially reveal a summer addition, with the transfer window having opened on Wednesday, June 9.

I wouldn't over analyse what I said 😅, just making a point of how close we were to not being a 'failed' squad.
  • I haven't really read that so much as we're trying actively to get those two. I feel like Adkins was asked about them and said that he'd be happy to have them back on loan but it's not something being pursued. I'm not expecting to see them back, and I seem to remember we were paying quite a lot for Maatsen so might not be the best use of our budget if we can get a permanent player not on Chelsea wages in

Maybe, right now. But by 2 weeks time, the situation may well be different?
