That one should be a very good signing for Portsmouth, first one I'm a bit jealous over

That is a great signing on paper, first loan for the lad but he’s supposed to be the next big thing at Spurs.

I’d agree although would probably have only wanted him in a 2 up top formation.

Will be interesting to see how he does but if we're going to play an 18 year old striker I'd rather it was Leaburn tbh.

  • Cameron Brannagan finally looks set to leave Oxford, on his way to Blackpool.

He'll be a big miss for them.

Shitting all over the rules, and LaLiga lets them because they want a Spanish team to win in Europe.

There's no way a club with that amount of debt should be able to have a side that includes:

    Ter Stegen
    Koundé
    Christensen
    Alba
    Busquets
    De Jong
    Kessié
    Ferran
    Raphinha
    Dembele
    Depay
    Aubameyang
    Lewandowski

And on top of that big earners like Umtiti, Pjanic and Pique

Find it amazing he is still there.  Best midfielder I have seen in L1 and at 26 he is at his peak and will become less in demand in 2-3yrs time.

Clearly a Championship quality player and Blackpool would have done well getting him.  Why he wants to stay at Oxford and their 3 sided ground and gobby manager I don't get.

If Blackpool were prepared to spend a 7 figure sum on him, who will they go after instead?

They can afford it now as they signed a huge deal with Spotify and also sold off 25% of future tv rights for well over 400m.

The issue of course is that by selling future rights it's basically kicking the can down the road. It's solving their problem now, but will create problems in the future because when that money runs out (and it will), where do they then turn?

    Jodi Jones signs for Oxford

As a left footed winger . Would they have signed him if they were in the mix for JRS?

Nesta Guineas Walker signs for Reading.

Worth remembering that Reading are under an embargo, so he's probably the best option available.

He's done well considering Wimbledon fans thought he was very poor in L1.

Jon fortune is a very good agent to get him a championship gig
  • Impressive that Oxford can turn down £1.2m bids. An Oxford fan I know reckons Gobbo has the 4th biggest budget in the league this season and expectations on KR are consequently very high.

The third winger they’ve signed recently, makes JRS even less likely.

Jones is a tricky little devil .. saw him just the once v us at Coventry .. gave us problems .. had a lot of injuries lately .. could well turn out to be a v good signing, IF he's fit
