Needed though, don’t think that team that got promoted were anything special, one of heir best players was spence who has now left. Yeah i agree and to be fair if you're going to throw a lot of money at it, then now is the time. Yes it's a gamble because they've rebuilt almost the entire squad. But if they stay up then in theory they're well set and can kick on and they probably just need 2-3 signings next summer.J BLOCK said:

The likes of Norwich and Watford are probably very jealous of Forest right now, as they just come up, do nothing and go straight back down.

Casemiro is a good signing - yes he's a lot of money and 30, but they've spent enough on absolute guff that at least he's a quality player.
30 isn't that old for a DM, and it's the position they need the most.
Mind you, I thought similar about Varane....
Real have done well though, get 9 years out of him, sell him at a profit for about the same you spent on his 22 year old replacement, Tchouameni.
They look well set with him and Camavinga, just need a Modric replacement now and their midfield could be set for the next few years.1 -

They have plenty of home grown midfielders and attacking midfielders/wingers - Hudson-Odoi, Mount, Gallagher, Loftus-Cheek (who's surely a better replacement in the middle for Kante than Gallagher) plus Sterling.
Surely their money needs to spend on a number 93 -
