Yet England haven't needed to run so much. We've won by playing sensible and reading games.
I'm all for the headless chicken approach it's my favourite way to play*, but it's not a winning approach when eventually it catches up with you.

Yes, running isn't necessarily a positive stat. Anyone playing the 2010 Spain or Barcelona side would spend the whole game running around trying to get the ball back (and failing)
no nerves or apprehension on my part .. if we can't beat Ukraine despite the heat, hostile crowd and tough opponents, then we just don't deserve to progress in the tournament, it's that simple

lots of Ukrainians live in Italy and the Italians are not known for their love of English footballers .. the crowd will be 80/90% anti England I expect

Italy will probably want us out as well, if they reach the Final then one of Ukraine or Denmark is surely a more attractive game for them?
