League one's champions elect Ipswich who've signed everyone are currently 1-0 down at home to Millwall.
Can we please stop trying to make friendlies out to be more important than they are.

    Just makes you look silly.

Should be obvious but that team should line up

                            CM

    Matthews Inniss Famewo Gunter

                         Dobson

                     Clare    Morgan

       DJ                                 Washington

                          Stockley
Honestly, looking at it laid out like that and you'd have to say that's a good first 11. Not "pissing the league" good but you'd expect to be challenging near enough anyone. Only the LB position is an obvious weakness but it seems almost guaranteed to be a loanee.

It's the depth/competition and options off the bench that need work.
It's disgraceful, 3 different players from last season & a bunch of kids. The revolution isn't happening anytime soon.

WTF happened to Schwartz back in Denmark this summer that he can’t even make the bench for the final friendly of the pre-season?

Last season's team came within a gnats bollocks of the playoffs and would have made it if not for the awful slump at the end of Bowyer's reign. We don't need a revolution.

17 of the senior players that played for us last season (exc. youth team) have left. Unfortunately the reality for most lower league clubs is that the reliance on short term contracts and loan signings means you need a “revolution” every summer. Thankfully most of the players we’ve signed this summer have been on multi-year deals so we might not need the same upheaval in summers to come.

We missed penalties against Oxford and Peterborough.  Thst would have got us in the play offs instead of Oxford!
Holding out against Crewe for a few minutes would have done too

Only if others stop declaring that Ipswich are champions and writing off our season.

Dobson put in a great interception a few minutes ago.

Got a feeling that he'll be a solid player for us this season.

Puts in a lovely foul as I post that

I'm really excited for the Clare/Dobson pivet in the middle (if it stays that way) - feels exactly the sort of change we needed in the middle of the park.

Wonder where Gilby will fit in, when recovered.

Another reason why we'll hopefully see less goals from range against us this coming season... Wasnt just a case of Amos being unable to stop them, but far too often we didnt get enough bodies in the way

We are getting outmuscled far too easy here, they have spare players everywhere, but defending the attacks well enough, so far so good

We aren't going to play a team anywhere near this quality in the league next season, not even Ipswich.

Give Ipswich time. I reckon they’ll have half the Fulham squad signed up by the end of the window.

You’re not worried about Bonneao, Pigottinho and Fraseraldo?

Yes we were very close to the play offs, just as well that we had chuks to come on & rescue us with his 15 goals. We do need a squad & while we may well get 4 loans in at the end of the transfer window are you happy with a bench of kids for the first 4 games ? Who knows what loans we will get, 4 Matt Smiths maybe.

Same if we lose 10-0 today ;)

Performances haven't been too bad this year but in recent times, friendly results have seen massive meltdowns on here

How the hell did Dobson and Clare not get in the Sunderland and Oxford teams?

Please have a look to see if I've posted anything in any previous friendlies. I haven't because it doesn't matter. These games are for fitness only.
