Thanks for all the updates @Garry_Jay1964. I've been getting a lot of secondhand enjoyment out of seeing all the different designs people picked (plus a bit of a craving for mint viscount biscuits due to the background detail on a couple of the photos). I'm glad that we've been able to bring Ben a bit of additional Christmas joy, and I hope that good vibe carries on well into the new year for all of you.
Wishing a very happy new year to you, Ben, and the whole Jay family. I hope your afternoon is spent watching an Addicks win while stuffing mint viscounts into your faces. All best wishes.
hi everyone, Postman came again today after Xmas break. Thank you for the cards again especially from Australia & America 😳 unbelievable. Much appreciated x
Ben. Glad the card arrived ... a tat late but never mind ... hope we can get a win in the cup next Saturday and dream of a big club at home in the next round. Take care and stay well my friend.
It was great getting the feed back and seeing the cards as they arrived.
Had some interesting chats with nurses and patients at Chelsea and Sutton Marsden, especially during October 2019 when I had to go to Sutton every day.
Living with Cancer, and the personal Journey was spoken about more than battling Cancer, though it understandable why warlike language is used.
I do not have the ability to comprehend what you are all going through, let alone to find appropriate words. All I can say is I send you my very best wishes and lots of love and you are very much in my thoughts.
I'm late to the party on this, so firstly Ben may I wish you all the very best for this New Year and that you beat this illness and get back to full health. I hope you enjoy your day tomorrow and lead the Addicks out to victory. Stay strong young man, we are all with you! Sending love, thoughts and prayers.
Fabulous clip. Mr Jay says Charlton are a great family club. Well it's clear that you are a great family. Have a magnificent day, and drink that bar dry.
Best wishes Ben and all your family. I hope you have a fantastic day tomorrow. We will see you all when we win and get United at home in the next round We are all behind you and I wish you all the very best for this new year x
Just watched the video and am in bits. Very best wishes to Ben and his family, am so proud of all involved in this and of how much it means to Ben and his family.
P.S. How can we ensure that the wonderful Tracey gets nominated for a well-deserved honour

Can’t we nominate her for an MBE, she bloody deserves one.

Exactly. Maybe Henry can lead on this as has access to the (long) list of her amazing achievements? I've PM'ed him as really want to make this happen
OK, guys 'n gals. The time has arrived for you to make your own contribution to assist Ben & his loving family at this distressing time for them all.
My words will fail to match those expressed on the following link which I fervently hope you will use to ensure that they know again just how much THIS family cares for its own.
So far, those 250+ Lifers that have shown more than a passing interest in this have been kept up to date with what Tracey & I have tried to do to help Ben in his fight against this devastating disease and as a result, the family and their loved ones will watch tomorrow's match from the warmth & comfort of an Exec Box in the Curbs' Stand with the blessing of our club.
And, as you will have seen on the OS today, Ben & his Dad, together with his favourite player, JFC, will lead out our team tomorrow following Tracey's amazing powers of persuasion despite covid restrictions being in place. This will be the pinnacle of Ben's day - one that will be recorded on video for him to look back on whenever he wants to relive this very special occasion.
Money has also been raised by these lovely Lifers for a further surprise which will be unveiled next week.
But now, it's your turn to help the family make more memories by donating to this very worthy cause for one of our own.
I trust that you will have watched the tear jerking video made at SL recently and which is now on the OS. This is where we hoped to display the link to the fund raising site but everything comes to he/she who waits....and the link you've been waiting for is now here.
Please urge your Addickted friends, family, those who are seated close by at home games to take a look at the site too and I warrant they will find it difficult to turn away....
ALL donations, however small, will help to make the lives of this dear Charlton family a little less difficult - this is the least we can do as I'm sure you'll agree.
And keep them, especially our brave Ben, in your thoughts and in your hearts.
