Good evening everyone. Wow just wow, what a fantastic group of people you all are in supporting mine & Sharon's son Ben. We never ask for anything & never expect anything but you have all been so, so generous in your comments, gifts & donations. We are truly humbled by it all. We always knew Ben was special to us but you have taken it to another level & have put a huge smile back on his face (still buzzing from yesterday) at this difficult time. Thank you all so much again.
Thank you so much for your amazing painting of super Clive Mendonca. As you can see Ben is very pleased with it. You have done an amazing job on it, it is so lifelike.
Thank you SO much for all your generous donations to support young Ben & his family in making memories which are so important for them all.
Not that there was ever any doubt that Lifers and Addicks in general would step up to the plate.
We ARE family !
I won't add anything lengthy to this thread at this moment in time except to say that Ben emailed Tracey last night to tell us that this was his best day EVER so thanks to all those who gave him a shout out as he was wheeled into the stadium & to those who made their voices heard above the team announcements after he'd led our lads onto the pitch. Just what was needed.
Oh, and to those who listened intently when I visited their table in Crossbars pre match to urge them to shout out for him and to direct them to the Just Giving site which had only been set up the previous evening.
There will be more surprises to come, of course, but again, that's due to YOU & your contributions which have reached an amazing total already....but with more to come as the initiative reaches the ears of your friends, family and other Addicks who have yet to join this remarkable forum. They honestly don't know what they're missing....
Let's keep those positive comments coming too on this thread as I know that Ben & his parents love to read them. And of course, Garry, Ben's Dad is likely to add updates or comments on what's happening so it would be a shame to miss them.
This very special family and their brave young son deserve our ongoing support and find it difficult to express their gratitude for everything we can do to help at this difficult time. It means more than words can express. And I can assure you that the love you are sending is sent back in shedloads IYKWIM.
You know that Fanny loves you ALL ! ( Sorry, but I really mean it )
Glad to read Ben enjoyed himself at The Valley on Sunday, and hopefully this fund will help you all have other memorable occasions together in the future. Best wishes to you all.

I'm pretty confident we'll hit that target.
