I am really starting to think that this is it for our club at least for the next 10 or so years.  There isn't really any indication that anyone that can afford the expenditure for a serious push and who understands football is interested.
Don’t you trust Thomas and his astute financial wizardry…i.e spending £300k for somebody that left for free 6 months earlier.

unless TS gets some investment, because he’s rich, but not rich enough, we can’t compete with the likes of Wigan, Sunderland, Ipswich
    Exactly this.
Although I just get loled when I question our saviour
I'm sure if we matched Chucks wage demands he would still of gone to Birmingham, bigger club, higher level and Bowyer was the manager. It hasn't worked out for him (because in my opinion he ain't that great) and TS spent £300k to bring him back. Everyone complaining TS spends no money. When money is spent a couple of wise guys on a Charlton forum could've done it better.
Regarding your last sentence could've done it better.
We are in the bottom half of league one about 6 points above the relegation zone.
This is the third transfer window Sandgaard has been in charge of.
So I would say things could and should have been done better.
I thought you were going to have a rest from posting and give us all a welcome break.
Without coming over all Lindsey Hoyle, no one has the right to influence who should and should not post on here other than the site moderators. This has been creeping in a lot on here recently and it really needs stopping now. Whether that be Blackpool, or Golfie or Ronnie Moore etc.

Crack on @blackpool72 you are a very well respected and valued poster on here.

No one wants this to be an echo chamber. It would be sh*t.
    Save the Blackpool one

Not that he needs saving, he can look after himself  ;)

  •  Everyone needs to have a beer/wine/joint, chill and be nice.
In that order? Only if you have some charlie to go with it otherwise you'll pass out.
What number in the order should that be taken?

Castillo as I posted Page 41. I don't think  Lavinier is the Spurs guy.
Follow this man … he is ITK
Do i not get some points for my cryptic 'leftfield' post on page 31, backed up by my doubting of the right back last night? That doesn't top naming the player of course but marks for earlier post and hint at position surely if we are playing the 'Intheknowarumopoly' ?  I'm being sworn to secrecy which is a seious handicap but doing my best to compete ?
Well DM me the name and I will ensure you get your kudos or not
  • An attacking signing!
  • Another one that will be available in the summer, will have a year left on his contract but Boro want him of the wage bill for their rebuild© CAFC2011
  • Another one of those striker/wingers...

And also another player who's played at Oxford under Robinson, though a season before Clare and Lee
  • Assume that's Kirk off then
  • Can I be the first to wrongly say we are only signing him because he was at Westham with Defoe?

  • Positives: from London so might want to come 'home', did well for Oxford on loan, 11 goals in 36 starts.

Negatives: coming off a serious injury, has only played 138 league minutes since July 2020.
  • An attacking midfielder that doesn't score goals and not played in a year, ideal.
  • Another one of those striker/wingers...

And also another player who's played at Oxford under Robinson, though a season before Clare and Lee
As long as he takes people on down the wing then he is better than DJ and Kirk

He does score goals though, 11 in 36 starts for Oxford. Of more concern though he got 14 yellow cards, and of course the injury.

If fit, he’s definitely an upgrade on every winger we have at the club. The question is where do we play him and is he someone we actually need?

I’ve always wanted to see a 3-4-3 (similar to what Chelsea play) and utilise all the wingers we have on the books - but it looks like we’re sticking with the 3-5-2.
  • Haven’t we tried signing Browne in 2 or 3 different transfer window?
  • I’m sure we all fondly remember the last Nottingham Forest player we signed on loan in Marcus Tudgay who managed 2 appearances and 0 goals.

    Welcome Marcus Browne!
