last_line said:Thanks so much for your work on this Bob. I've been able to show my kids the video of me as the mascot for Simonsen's debut v Boro. It's given them the context behind one of the photos that's been on the wall in the utility room since before they were born. When I first saw it, I have to admit there was a lump in the throat!9

Wow, absolutely brilliant stuff. This is like all my Christmas' have come at once!
On other threads at the moment, there are links to games against Hull and Sheff Utd that were shown on the Big Match. Are you able to link to these in someway on the Museum site or is even that potentially a copyright issue? (Mind you, if they are readily available on Youtube, is it a real issue?)0 -

Not sure on Big Match games but as you say we may just be able to link to them.
Are they on "official" channels?1 -
Not sure what you mean by "official" but both those games (highlights) are readily available on Youtube if you do a quick search.0

The YouTube channel is a remarkable addition to what is already a highly impressive archive. We are fortunate indeed that the Addicks' special heritage is so well documented.
(Small note - can the heading of the Bolton FAC4 tie be changed from 1923/1924 to 1922/1923, please?)2 -

Wow.
Thank you very much again @BobK.
My father was in hospital when we played United away and when I gave him the programme he tried to buy the video from United only to be told it was unavailable.
It is great to see Aizlewood channeling Franz Beckenbauer and Mark Stuart's winner again after all of these years.0 - Sponsored links:

All our videos from 1920s-1960 now uploaded to Youtube. Later years to follow.7

A remarkable archive (and piece of work uploading it all!)
Really enjoying it. Surprising favourite so far is Colin Powell testimonial...just a nice match.2 -
Just an update. Videos loaded up to 1987/88 season. Have reached my upload limit for 24 hours so having an enforced rest.3

I've had many highlights in my life watching Charlton, but this was the lowest (from a pure footballing point of view).
Shit match, and I've never been so cold in my life.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx3nbpA4i2I

Great article by Steve Dixon on the channel today in VOTV1

While we wait for some clarification to the Club's position over the Museum's video archive, can I suggest those who want their dose of nostalgia watch Kicking and Screaming. It is in my opinion the best documentary made about football. Stick with all six episodes, it is a real eye opener of the attitude of the FA. Available on the Museum Youtube channel under the Miscellaneous playlist.2

Pathetic if I've got that right because I can only assume they want people to subscribe to their Charlton TV service to see those videos rather than to watch them for free on the museum site.0 -
The Kicking and Screaming is just a fantastic social history of football from its origins to the modern day (well 1996 when it was aired), to see all the greats of the 40s/50's being interviewed and excellently pitched, if you haven't seen it, or its been a few years I would recommend a re-watch. Thanks so much for sharing @BobK, I had clean forgot about it until your post above and really enjoying watching them again, a quality production.1

For nostalgia buffs I have just uploaded more early highlights and interviews from the 1970s & 80s.9
-
Notable additions uploaded are home movies of the Valley 1987 & 1989 and to cheer everyone up Charlton v Palace 1996/97 full match.5
-
So much fantastic content on the channel already - brilliant work. Full matches from the late 1990s to early 2000s. Right around the time I got the bug. :-)
I notice a lot of 97/98 highlights have gone up over the last day or so. That's me sorted for a while this evening.1 -
Fascinating seeing the Covered End as it is today taking shape in this coverage.
