I get why you say that, but maybe born of the natural desire for us to win but maybe we live we learn. I was surprised that Adigun did not start as Captain but Anderson, and he was slightly less central and deep than of late, and I was surprised that Leaburn wasn't a sub waiting to enter the fray with Kanu starting centrally. However there was plenty to admire in the game, Josh at No.6 was good, the keeper, Campbell as usual, Kedwell putting in a shift and so on, but with the fantastic record our team has I am left wondering if Brighton were stronger because they were that much older to grant them an edge. There is plenty for these lads to play for this season, they are walking the league at the moment. Congratulations to Brighton, it would be good if they won this competition, and it was nice tonight to be reminded that at heart football remains a sport. Good attitude shown by everybody this evening.
I asked that question early in the first half when I was watching on Brighton You tube and saw Miles Leaburn in the middle and wondered why Kanu was so wide and was that his normal position or did he play more central when Leaburn doesn't play. They may have answers on Charlton TV ?
Daniel still had 3 good chances on the night including hitting the post.
A good game but disappointed by the amount and manner of time wasting by the Brighton players.
Sad that they teach them that stuff at such a young age. Ref should have booked them when they hoofed the ball into row Z after the whistle, to waste time.
Shout out to Laqeretabua who looks a very accomplished player already.
Enjoyed the game last night not the result, most of the boys are u17 and one u16 and looking at size of Brighton boys would guess the majority of them were u18. Looking forward to next season and seeing how the boys perform then if we keep them🤞
Drove up from Medway to see the game, really pleased I did, excellent game of football,2 very good footballing sides, plenty of crunching tackles, and stacks of goalmouth incident.Thought Brighton just about deserved it,they seemed just a bit stronger, and quicker to jump on any loose balls.A shout for our keeper,a jack in the box who made some blinding one on one stops, given the chance, another keeper from our youth squad progressing all the way.
Not sure if this was commented on but both times we conceded all 11 players came together.
Didn't appear to be pointing the blame, more a gee up but obviously couldn't hear what was said.
Never noticed this before.
Well if it’s good enough for a team like the All Blacks then why not do it. There might be something in it; they pride themselves in their culture and being guardians of the black jersey heritage, as well as having a no d*ckheads rule.

Enjoyable game even if we were second best.
Kone was excellent otherwise it would have been about 7 - 3 although he hardly touched the ball with his hands.
Kanu was playing wider and was well marshalled for most of the game but he had a few chances, as did others.
Time to get cat 1 so we play teams like this every week.
The pace and athleticism these lads have at such a young age is frightening.

If so, stop it at once.
