Is this (from the Widen site) current - as a draw was 0 before Stokes was out?

Supposed to rain all day tomorrow isn't it?

I think there'll easily be enough play in 2 days but assume that's where the 1% comes from.
Does the draw take into account a tie ??  Only way that would be 1% otherwise. Or, as Tubby Taylor mentioned, there could be a sink hole open up & the match abandoned.

Or someone could pour oil on the pitch, dig it up a bit and spray "George Davis is innocent" everywhere.

Can England snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

You just know that Stokes and Root will get England to within about 25 and then the tail will collapse like a pack of cards.
    Please don’t say that sillybilly

It's not raining, but it's incredibly gloomy outside at the moment, probably too dark for even the floodlights, bearing in mind the different rules in red ball cricket?

I can’t see us getting the runs.

The first 15 overs are critical.  If England can get 40 odd without Root getting out we have a chance.  He needs to be there when they take the new ball.

How they use there bowlers will be interesting can they not bowl Boult and Southee before hand?  A couple of overs each to start?

Root's innings runs (100) is the square ROOT of his career runs (10,000 = 100 squared)"
  • Really thought England would fold this morning, but so happy to be proved wrong.

Both batsmen were great this morning

Did not expect this , this morning great from Root and Foakes with the conditions heavy cloud and drizzle in Bexleyheath and surrounding areas throught the NZ bowlers would swing us out within the hour .. brilliant great win

Very well played England and Root especially.

NZ can't help thinking how much that no ball cost them. As I've said before, I have little or no sympathy when that happens.

Spooky fact - Joe Root is 31 years and 157 days old today, when Alistair Cook reached 10'000 test match runs, he was 31 years and 157 days old...

Yeah but what time were they born, so we can get a definitive youngest to 10k

Crazy that, what are the chances?

Also to be on 9,900 so a ton brings up the 10,000 then do it, perfect.

Morale booster and a good win .. we were never behind even after a very bad first innings .. Rooooot .. never really rated him as a captain, but of course he is an absolute master batsman .. and well done to Ben Foakes for keeping his end up lol

Test match cricket at it's best, great from  Joe and  a very mature  innings from Ben Foakes
