  • Robinson takes the new ball instead of Broad
  • Anyone else think that the stump mics appear to have been turned up? Or is it just my hearing is getting better?
  • Robinson takes the new ball instead of Broad
    Too right
  • Harmer is no mug with the bat though
he's also a class spinner in seamer friendly conditions in england too...
Best spinner in world cricket for me
  • SA very very fortunate they're only 1 down here. We batted terribly at Lords but we certainly didn't have this kind of luck with the plays and misses either
  • So good to have Robinson back. Best seamer in England by a mile

imagine being able to play archer, anderson, broad, robinson and woakes fully fit and firing.
  • FFS Robinson.
  • Robinson having one of those days alas
  • No sympathy whatsoever

  • Broad wanted to review that?! Oh my days, he's cooked
  • Second one looks closer, but that first one was so rogue they've not gone for it. Smart boy Stokes
  • Second one actually less close lol
  • Good ball by Broad and even better catch from Bairstow
  • Maybe I forecast his demise a bit hastily! Still, gotta keep it up now
  • Broad's bowling is right on target this morning
  • FFS Robinson.
    No sympathy whatsoever
No balls should be 10 runs to opponents and a 30 minute ban from bowling.

Absolutely no need for it at all.

    Foakes advised not reviewing.
Had Bairstow been keeping we would've probably wasted  a couple of reviews by now.

seems the Robbo no ball was not in fact a no ball ? .. being called a communication breakdown tween umpires

    He clearly overstepped.

  • I'm sure that this was a situation where Elgar wished that he could have handed the team sheet in after the toss rather than before it. Win the toss and bowl first with Jansen in the side, lose it and play the two spinners. We'll know pretty much how influential this morning's conditions are but the pitch won't take that much spin if the game finishes on day 3.
    If only.............shame!
  • Broad keeping it up. Probably read a lot of reports of his own demise, bit more fire in the belly

And not opening probably fired him up too. He does love a challenge.

Yeah - Looked over in replay ?

Darren Gough has said many times that he cannot understand what they are trying to gain. The plus of pushing it is of infinitely less value than losing a wicket because of overstepping. Spinners have got an even less excuse for doing so but some still do. They probably do it in the nets and all forms of the game and aren't penalised for doing so but then get to international cricket finding that they lose a victim. We see it, on average, at least once in every Test and that can be the difference between winning and losing.
  • S Africa 48-3, why are we trying to change the ball?
  • Broad clearly 🇫🇮
