SA very very fortunate they're only 1 down here. We batted terribly at Lords but we certainly didn't have this kind of luck with the plays and misses either
I'm sure that this was a situation where Elgar wished that he could have handed the team sheet in after the toss rather than before it. Win the toss and bowl first with Jansen in the side, lose it and play the two spinners. We'll know pretty much how influential this morning's conditions are but the pitch won't take that much spin if the game finishes on day 3.
No balls should be 10 runs to opponents and a 30 minute ban from bowling.
Absolutely no need for it at all.
Darren Gough has said many times that he cannot understand what they are trying to gain. The plus of pushing it is of infinitely less value than losing a wicket because of overstepping. Spinners have got an even less excuse for doing so but some still do. They probably do it in the nets and all forms of the game and aren't penalised for doing so but then get to international cricket finding that they lose a victim. We see it, on average, at least once in every Test and that can be the difference between winning and losing.

Had Bairstow been keeping we would've probably wasted a couple of reviews by now.
He clearly overstepped.
