If we can't top a group of USA, Iran (interesting match there...) And one of the minnows of Europe, or Ukraine, who's team will probably be too busy fighting a war to play, then we may as well retire from international football as a nation
Specific venues by match not announced however Groups A, B, E, F will play at Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium and Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.
Groups C, D, G, H will play at Lusail Iconic Stadium, Stadium 974, Education City Stadium and Al Janoub Stadium.
If England win their group, they would be scheduled to play round of 16, quarter final and semi final all at Al Bayt Stadium. The final is scheduled for Lusail Iconic Stadium.
I assume the Qatari tournament directors expect they will finish second in group A hence the run of games at the same venue.

If England finish runners up of Group B, they would play the round of 16 at Khalifa International Stadium followed by Lusail Iconic Stadium for the quarter finals through to the final.
Watching this in the US and with their flag waving, only USA slant, that catweazle guy who used to play center back of sorts for the USMNT about 30 years ago has answered the presenters question about a “path to the World Cup” saying he is very pleased with the draw and, with references to ‘98, states that every match in the group is easily winnable. I never feel that way about the England team, and this is the claptrap we have to listen to over here, remembering that they secured qualification behind Mexico and Canada by avoiding a 6 goal defeat to Costa Rica…..they hung on for a 2-0 loss……

So you mean we're not playing in this rather fetching design
Going to be quite a different WC experience, rather than an endless build up and hype over a month where players have to get match fit again, the players will have a week between playing for their clubs and the WC

So that's likely be Qatar/Senegal/Ecuador as i can't see Holland not winning that group.
Win that and the quarter final will be probably be France.

Decent run to the QF you'd hope before the tougher matches.
Although by the looks of it we could get France at the QF point.
- Qatar v Ecuador is a really dull opening to a World Cup.
- Jermaine Jenas's agent must be a genius.

You can pretty much stay anywhere in the country and still be able to easily get to any stadium.
At least it should be a bit better than Russia v Saudi Arabia was in 2018!
Plus there are four games on the opening day this year rather than the usual single game.
I hope we absolutely stuff them
