Think they need to explain why it was publicly denied. Cawley deserves some respect.
Well I assume that since Cawley was saying a 2 year deal, the details weren't finalised yet as it ended up being a 3 year deal. But I do agree, it was pointless having any response to it. Anyway, lets try to move forward...

If Garner is announced soon, be that at a press conference complete with dancing girls and the like, or not, I'd like to hear more about those 'other shareholders' Thomas said were coming over with him.
Perhaps they were the 'suits' seen in the Chairman's office yesterday and are bringing in sufficient extra funding to salvage 'HMS P*ss' the League' from the murky depths.
We can but hope and we all know what that does to you.
They are Martin & Raelynn & as shareholders will be taking more of an interest in the club. Expect a press conference where Martin will be unveiled as head of recruitment & training sessions while Raelynn has taken the roll of Director of PR & Communications.
After the first game of last Season with the 0-0 against Sheffield Wednesday, when we had no efforts on goal, Nigel Adkins said I'm aiming for 25 Clean sheets.
Different ambitions for Ben Garner, I just hope his honeymoon last longer than the pre season games and half a dozen League games. It would help if most if not all the new players are in situ well before the season kicks off. Also not selling our assets(not many but everyone should be aware who they are)
Garners Swindon really impressed me last season, I watched their game against Forest Green and they were brilliant. Cup game against city was also good and I was shocked at how well they were knocking the ball about for a league 2 team, looks nice on the eye! He now needs backing from TS, and players through the door to suit his style of play. This is an exciting appointment I think but he needs time to implement his philosophy, might not happen straight away.
I've been waiting years & years for a manager to implement an attacking team - one that has more shots than the opposition & puts that above defending.
Only problem is.............has he seen the current squad ? A lot of rebuilding & coaching needed to get this lot shooting at every opportuinty.
Well done Ben and good luck. I had no doubts whatsoever that this was going to work, outf fine And in plenty of time for starting the new season ----FOR SALE _ 2 packs of Molicare large, maxi , pull ups, Price negotiable
My Swindon-supporting mates all rate him highly and were disappointed when they first heard he was leaving. If he gets the right support with the squad, his style of football could work really well for us. There's a lot still to be done, but this seems like grounds for optimism to me.
I think he’ll get on well with Sandgaard. Quite impressed with everything I’ve learned about him since he was first linked. Best realistic option out there. Sandgaard needs to step back and support him now.
Came across very well on Talksport , Ben that is, Saadgard being his normal self
Agree
BG was quite humble and while he talked about improving and creating a style of playing he wasnt talking about blowing the league away and that we needed to respect other teams.

Now Tommy please give him the players he needs in order to get promotion.
Gives the attacking football that most of us would prefer to see from us in League One.
We want to watch skillful players playing football the right way, rather than lumping it to Stockley and looking like individuals on the pitch.

Welcome Ben, I’m quietly optimistic with this appointment, attacking football is the way to go in this league, no respect.

At least I've found my home.........
Can't quite believe the saga we've had for this appointment, but glad it's over the line
Welcome Ben, let's get down to business

But the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
Hope Thomas gives him the right ingredients.
Just win games.
