Jeez. I joined CL nearly 16 years ago (shortly after it started). Have endured the highs and lows, lived thru RD, Spivs, ESI but never stopped going. TS has spent millions and saved us from certain doom. He isn't right with everything...but who is? The sense of entitlement of some individuals on here to verbally attack and criticise amazes me - he's the guy who owns us - get over it. Yes we all want a manager sorted and ready when the window opens on the 10th June and we all want success on the pitch...but give the guy some time. Social media and the ease with which we can all 'particpate' in discussion has made it so easy to moan and this thread is one of the worst I can remember. Give it a rest.
U ain’t seen nothing yet - this is just a warm up act for the transfers thread
What transfers? The window will only be open for a month and we are now, waaaay down the back of the que, Just like last year
We would be if we’d only just started working on transfers. I don’t think that’s that’s the case.
I did suspect that Mrs TS‘s comment denying that Garner had been signed on a two year contract was more about the length of the contract than the fact that he’d been signed. I finally got something right!
Firstly I am happy with the appointment and am excited to see what Garner brings. Think some fans won’t like it, and there’s going to be times when we lose it at the back and possibly concede from it. But if he can replicate the stats he did with Swindon, it will at least make me enjoy watching Charlton a bit more.
Secondly, just makes the ‘still interviewing’ and ‘understand that to be incorrect’ denials look even more silly now.
Welcome Ben Best of luck hope you are successful but I’ll wish you a merry Christmas now as I think Jason Euell will be manger by then. hopefully you can prove me wrong.
Is this the same Ben Garner that Mrs S said it wasn't true and that Mr S said that he was still interviewing for the role?? Seems that old Tommy boy has had the script written out for Ben and what to say.
So what we did know, that some said we didn't know proved, the in the know people were right and Raelynn Maloney is a tease and Thomas Sandgaard is a showman.
So nothing we didn't already know.
Welcome to Cafc Ben Garner because you will need luck in spades what ever formation you think will be successful.
Never think it's a good idea to diss a local journalist unless he is completely wrong; Richard Crawley was correct.
We need good relationships on and off the pitch and that was slightly weird and unique.
I found this about him on Wikipedia. Presumably it's the right guy?
Bengt-Arne "B-A" Strömberg, born 13 February 1954 in Gothenburg, Sweden, was a Swedish former football player and coach of IFK Norrköping, IF Elfsborg and Floda IBK. He was the only FIFA licensed coach in Sweden. After 25 years as football coach, Strömberg changed profession and became a lorry driver.

Literally a thousand Charlton fans already have.
How we laughed.

So @Henry Irving...you knew all along this morning...

We move on.
1. does he pass the height test?
2. what is his clean sheet win record?
All the best Ben and sincerely hope you deliver on your promise!

Sandgaard needs to re-issue 'Addicks to Victory'. The clean-sheet win is a thing of the past.
'The 3-2 win' scans well enough, I suppose.
