There has been, as far as I can recollect a direct correlation between the English national team and Charlton being shit. My age and mood may deceive me here, but it is quite spooky!
Never been convinced by Southgate as England manager, I feel the team has succeeded in recent tournaments in spite of him. Being super critical you could argue we had an easy path to the World Cup semi in 2018, and being mostly at home in Euro 2020 gave us an edge that we otherwise wouldn't have had, so he's had a lot go in his favour.

So much talent and its being poorly used.
But he's not showing enough at the moment, when he should be against this level of opposition.
Mind you just had a couple of chances.
That's the difference.
Southgate gets one more crack at Qatar, but after that I’d be excited to see these players under a new manager.
Bright for 15mins, yet go behind - Now we cant beat the first man with crosses.
Hungary have had about three stoppages thanks to "injuries"
FFS, I'd actually rather listen to Roy Keane and Michael Owen.
Shit game btw
Id welcome a change after the World Cup.
