Not very good to say the least. Italy look a far better prospect in future tournaments than us on this performance. Some will blame it on end of season tiredness or sharpness but weren’t Italy in the same boat?
We definitely have a better chance at the next tournament than them.
Yeah I’m fully aware that they didn’t qualify for this years World Cup but was thinking further ahead than that! This wasn’t even the Italian first team far from it!
All last night proved to me is that we simply have to play with a natural left back. We can't continue with Trippier there. I also think in the last few games we've missed the skill and ability to operate in tight areas that Foden offers in the final third.

I am sorry, I have not read the rest of these comments but England look boring, lacking any attacking ideas, everything was sideways or backwards against Italy. The amount of times we got to their penalty area and after a few passes was back to our defence, no wonder we do not score. This tournament is a waste of time, the players look tired and as bored as the fans. When Kane, Phillips and Bowen came on, it seemed to liven up, but still no end result.
We're playing musical statues in their half so every time the ball gets brought across the half way line, we have to stop and pass backwards because no one is even trying to make space for themselves.

Shame it seems like we're fielding the reserves in a must-win game.
