Did a replay show that as deliberate hand ball?
His hand was in an ‘unnatural’ position

Goodness me, we are playing well. I’m wondering if I’ve come to the right ground 😀

On the penalty and red card - I thought there was a rule where they shouldn’t give a penalty and a red card unless it was violent conduct? I’m sure it’s a ‘double jeopardy’ thing or something? Did I imagine that?
Is it the ‘double jeopardy rule’ - believe it can still happens if it’s stopping a direct goal (as in the balls going in) rather than a goal scoring opportunity. Happened at the weekend in the prem, played only got yellow as it was a GSO that was stopped rather than a goal

Can’t wait for this to end 3-3. This is Charlton, we can’t have nice things
  • Think Clayden has looked really good going forward too

    Kirk having a great game
He really isn't, but he has two assists. Will take a few more bad games like this
Been involved in everything going forward. Two assists, hit the post and put a cross on the plate for Jayden who should’ve scored.
But...he's also been quite lazy at times, offered nothing defensively, not chased after things or pressed effectively, given it away a few times and missed two presentable chances.

That said, we're creating so much I expect him to fill his boots this half

    Fair play to Jessica Ennis.

Kirk down the left wide to Clayden, cross comes in and rebounds off a Plymouth defender into the keeper's arms.

46' The adjustments from the substitutions see Galloway to left-back in a back four. Butcher joins Azaz and Houghton in a three-man midfield. Ennis and Whittaker up front. 3-0

Agreed but he doesn't look like a LB, at least not at this point. And to be fair, he's not. Believe he's played exclusively as a winger throughout the youth teams and it's only been in the senior side that he's played at fullback.

It does kind of remind me of Alfie Doughty, although I believe Doughty did play some fullback at youth team level. But when he came into the side it was as an emergency wingback/fullback. I don't think Clayden has quite the upside that young Alfie did, but he's shown there's something to build on there.

Reassuring to see the old Albie Morgan still exists... Couple of poor balls between him and Clayden

Bit of a miscommunication between Morgan and Clayden means the ball ends up going out for a goal kick.

Full backs play very high in this type of system

What has Garner done to Albie Morgan ?
  • What has Garner done to Albie Morgan ?
Bundled him in the boot of a car, drove him to Swindon and did a sneaky swap with Louis Reed who is in disguise.

Only explanation I can think of.

Clare bombs down the right cuts inside, but JRS and Fraser combine to lose the ball. Try to track back but end up conceding a free kick on the front edge of the centre circle.

I’m not sure if Rak-Sakyi’s passes are occasionally overhit or he is overestimating his teammates ability to pick them up…

I suspect this is quite tongue-in-cheek, but I would argue the old Albie is really more one who disappears for long stretches and lacks positional discipline and workrate. Albie has covered loads of ground today, his pressing has been excellent, and he's made some good runs off the ball...including as I write this.

Great work from Clare near the RH corner flag, JRS skips the challenge and bombs forward, Morgan tries to play the ball in but the cross goes out before Kirk can get to it.

Stockley flatted practically on the centre spot so we have a free kick.
