Why do ITV have footage of Ian Wright scoring for England in their adverts for the World Cup?

He never made a squad for any world cup or euro tournament
More to the point why is one of the goals scored by a woman? This isn’t the Women’s World Cup.
    Why do you care?

If the various squads were serious in protesting this debacle of a World Cup, they should have all worn the arm band, got booked and got a second yellow for putting them on again.

It just highlights the empty gesture of taking the knee. Absolutely pointless and no backbone to support their so called morals.

If the whole team got sent off, this would be remembered for evermore and respected. Even better if all the other nations who felt strongly did the same.

FIFA has not changed, just watch the Saudis get the next one to be awarded.

It was his goal in a 1 1 draw away to Poland in the qualifiers for USA ‘94 (that we failed qualify for)

On the itv commentary they are genuinely going on about someone trying to sneak a bucket hat in - these aren’t brave souls that have fought on the front line, these are people that want a bit of likes on social media.

i think it's more the ridiculousness that is a host nation banning rainbows of any kind.

Doesn’t it say more that you’d have to sneak a bucket hat in? A bucket hat that you could wear anywhere else in the world.

Wonder what they'd do if it rained in Qatar, and there was a rainbow in the sky

Denmark planning to wear the rainbow armband in spite of threats.

Hey FIFA, pretty small nation with a big pair just put the ball back in your court. Gonna kick 'em out?

Well done Belgium, Wales, Denmark. Showed some balls unlike FIFA or, sadly, the England outfit.

What do they do when it rains in the sunshine in Qatar? Ban the sky?

Not bothered about the arm band. This the footbal world cup not world politics. The world polictians have just failed the world at the latest COP and it's all Harry Kane's fault, get a grip. There should be riots and not about a Sharia law country being a Sharia law country.

But we all know what a backwards medieval country it is, the constant daily barrage of someone “ making a point “ is getting fucking boring. Alex Scott wearing an armband yet Pocketing all the wages from being out there turn it in donate the lot to stonewall if you want to make a point.

It’s on par with the tossers that went round videoing empty hospital when covid was in its early days.

Just looks like a stripey hat than a rainbow one. This world cup is going even worse than i expected.

What’s political about equality and basic human rights?
