  • Wycombe and Oxford both top half now and climbing the table
Table now looking split in half almost exactly the way everyone expected before the season started. Just swap Exeter and MK.

A draw before the game would have been a crap result. A draw after being 2-0 up is criminal.
How about a draw after being 3-2 down?
Still a crap result, but would take it as it was all we deserved after letting the 2 goal lead, and what should have been an easy three points, just go due to some basic defensive errors, thought Mac had an ok game and could not be blamed for any of the goals conceded..

Not having been 3-2 down it isn't.
Being 3-2 down after being 2-0 up is. A good rally in the last 15 shouldn't paper over how poor a performance that was. They had a free header pretty much every ball in the box and had the run of the midfield for the entire match
Had it stayed 3-2, there's a better case for arguing it was criminal, but it didn't and you said yourself we were second best. Picking up points from losing positions when playing badly is a positive and shows fighting spirit if nothing else.

Going 4-2 up in the fourth minute of  injury time and drawing, now that's what I call criminal.
  • Never been MacGillivray's greatest fan but credit where credit us due, he had a really good game today and made a number of good saves that kept us in the game.

Inniss and Lavelle trying to pass out from the back is one of those things that just has you scratching your head at whoever thought that would be a good idea.

As Croydon says above, don't be fooled by a good last 10 minutes. We should have been long buried by then.

But at least this team has one thing. Resilience. That's another game where we have kept playing to the end and managed to scrape a result when it looked unlikely.
Certainly think Dazzler's been harsh marking him the lowest on the scores for fisting too much. Didn't see any of that myself...

Certainly agree with this, we are anything but gutless as a team.

  • That was our worst result of the season IMO

Lavelle is so pants, don’t like to verbal players but he can’t pass, can’t run, isn’t very strong, not good in the air. List goes on, Jason Pearce was far better and a lot of us were critical of Pearcey towards the end.

Stockley 2 goals in 18 league games so far, 1 of which being a penalty. Be very lucky if he hits 10 in 46 at this rate! 20 goal a season striker my arse

I would honestly make the best of a bad situation and stick him as a centre back instead of Lavelle, at least he will win some aerial duals and won’t waste a spot further up the pitch

    Nailed it.
This was a shocking performance papering over wider cracks than my a***.
  • Very disappointing to see a VERY prominent fan urinate on somebody's property after the game.

Well, you wouldn't see it, would you?  But you'd certainly feel it!

  • I don't know anything about the match, but what I do know is that Woolocott's injury is phoney, like Sterling's and Madison's.
  • Five wins in 18 league games. Big questions for Garner now.

How many of them have you watched? And - what do you expect of Garner beyond what he's doing? Yes, we could be 'defensively organised' and dour, but with this squad that'd be working out even worse probably
  • We are at the back. Garner wanted a left back, we didn’t get one and now we’re a full-back short. Unlucky with injuries at CB but we’re a decent one short, again something Garner knew over the summer.
  • Really poor defence today. I would start Deji next game I cant see him being any worse than Lavelle today. How many times did he give the ball away trying to pass to someone ?
  • I’m not usually one to criticise players but Sam Lavelle is stealing a living with us. I’d sooner start Deji than him, bloke is a donkey.

We've lost almost the same number as we've won.
