Ben Garner said some weeks ago that he wanted to have a discussion with the owner to see which pool we were fishing in. The fact that he's still making similar noises suggests that there may have been no meaningful discussions and that no plan is in place. If that's the case, it's further cause for concern, given that the window opens in 6 weeks and discussions about deals will already be underway.
I suspect the reality is that we'll look to pick up a couple of decent loans.

I heard we were going to make a signing that would blow the league out of the water. At least that's what I think they said, there was some god awful guitar playing in the back ground.

Like in the summer we should be preparing early, identifying targets & having discussions with agents so that we can "hit the ground running" in early January.
But, like in the summer, It wont happen. We will be left in late January hunting around for a couple of loanees to come in & help shore up the side until May. The likes of Nile John & Dylan Levitt spring to mind.

Rinse & repeat.
Since we missed out on Macauley Bonne at the last step, I think its highly likely we will get him. Checked the QPR site, it says 9 appearances no goals and no assists. So he can only get better. And he'll be free(-ish)
When we were able to play two strong full backs the defence looked better. Egbo was a massive part of that. We have two strong full backs in Sessengnon and Egbo (who is out for the season). Clare is an ok right back but a dreadful left back. Clayden and Chin are great prospects but are a liability. That can change very quickly as they learn but we are not there yet.
