Taking into account the two overs for changeover then the openers will only have to face a couple of overs in which case I'm sure that it will be Muyeye and DBD
We are four ahead but that doesn't really matter until the stagger of the batting and bowling points fully unwind. But we could not have done any more than to take maximum bowling points. If we can get 350 and a draw then, almost certainly, Middx will have to get 400 plus 9 wickets and a draw to overtake us.
Quite rare for an innings to finish on the actual last ball of the day, as opposed to a day ending early because the wicket fell near the end of the day.
327 all out at close. Chahal with the final wicket.
We might have taken that at the start of the day but, having had them 18-3, that really is a bit disappointing.
The usual can't shift the tail that's cursed us for years.
That said, with our bowling injuries, I'm grateful for the 3 bonus points.
The only comfort to report is that three of the top four in the bowling averages are playing in this game - Agar (21 wickets at 28.33) followed by Chahal (6 wickets at 29.16), Nijjar (7 wickets at 30.14) and Quinn (21 wickets at 30.90). The other dozen or so who have bowled for us this season are a long way behind. It remains a mystery as to why neither of those two, let alone both, didn't play in the last game.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned before but will buttleman looks to be signing soon, heard the rumour a few days ago and was doing the rounds at the ground today

It has been mentioned. I'm not sure exactly where Buttleman will sit in the hierarchy of our keepers in the sense that he is probably a better all round keeper than Finch but, with a top score of 65 in all competitions, he is definitely in the developmental stage as a batsman. There is no reason whatsoever not to make the announcement regarding Buttleman as he has been released by Essex unless that is being held back until such time as the Club can make it clear as to what Billings' situation is.

We need wickets at Canterbury and Trent Bridge.
312-9

Middlesex look quite comfortable batting for once, so might pick up batting points
So, what’s the reckoning, Kent all out for 88 just before lunch?
Edit...OOps ! Misread AA's post ! Silly old moo !
I'm at Canterbury tomorrow so hope Kent bat well!
Simpson out for Middlesex in first over of the morning - they are 163 for 4 now
