Aussies spin bowling cupboard is much less bare than ours though.
That is true. Todd Murphy is a rookie but in four matches against India he took 14 wickets at 25.21 with an ER of 2.56. India are hardly mugs. His FC record is 43 wickets at 26.32 with an ER of 2.63. Kuhnemann is still injured I believe but I suspect that Zampa or Agar would be called up as cover.
I'm tired of saying it. But a lot less tired when it costs the Aussies a wicket. It's got nothing to do with his "workload". It's got to do with the fact that he pushes the line and almost certainly goes over it in the nets.
Disagree re Pope. I'll back him to do that any day. Any half decent connection and its 2nd tier. Thats the way they play and it works. I wont criticise the decision. Its a good option. He just got it right on the toe of the bat and it looped up. Shame but i want them to take it on.

There's more than one way to be attacking.
We could still easily tick along at 4 or 5 an over without those sorts of risks.
that's my fault, turned off again, literally switched on and the wicket fell within a few balls and then the no ball. I shall keep an eye on the result sorry all
Hate watching England playing like this in test cricket. Being positive is one thing but throwing the bat at every ball, irrespective of the type of ball is a recipe for disaster. Just concentrate on not getting out and punish the bad deliveries.
Those are wides, not byes. Absurd the rule hasn't changed
I emailed the ECB a few years ago when the Law for no balls that the keeper doesn't stop was changed following a bouncer from Jas Singh that sailed over Seb's head and hit the sight screen on the full - one no ball and four byes. The reply from the ECB was that they felt that the previous Law of five no balls was too punitive on the bowler!!!

Get 5 an over with singles and twos, the Aussies will change their tactics. Trying to clear the fielders is a massively high risk shot when we are still 200 behind.

Too soon?
(P.S. I agree I feel a bit sorry for him)
Everyone on the boundary, so stick it straight up in the air?
Green falling apart is another bonus!
