    But net spend...

Oh shut up will you. You’d be wanking yourself dry if Arsenal dominated like city have been.

Just telling on yourselves when you counter the argument with a personal attack.

Doesn't bother me but again don't be surprised in 20 years when people look back and wonder what happened to the Emirates Premier League hosted around the world.

Personally, I see the PL as open as it has ever been, especially at the top end.

City are being pushed by Liverpool and Arsenal, Chelsea are slowly improving under Poch, Newcastle and Villa are on the up, Spurs will try to improve on this season and no doubt Man Utd will throw more money at it.
Below that, all the other teams are capable of causing an upset on their day.

Christ, go back to the days of Sir Alex and United dominated with Chelsea and Arsenal occasionally disrupting.

Bit different from the bottom, the newly promoted teams will regularly struggle because of the huge gap in funding.

I wouldn't say its boring, far from it.  I can sit down and watch a game as a neutral and appreciate the football on display.  Palace played some lovely stuff against United last week (sorry!), Villa have been unplayable at times, some of the football Arsenal has played has been sensational.  Everyone is improving and the standard of football in getting better year on year.  Shame the same cant be said of refereeing in the PL but thats another story altogether.

In 20 years' time, it will be Charlton dominating the Premier League, led by Erling Haaland Jnr and managed by Pep Guardiola II of Catalonia.

We'll be the hated club then.

I'm not going to pick on you, I'm bigger than that...but chinny reckon lol.

In all seriousness, Arsenal aren't far off winning everything in sight.  As much as I despise that Lego headed Prick, Arsenal have been nothing short of brilliant for the last two seasons and have been bloody unlucky they've come up against arguably one of the greatest teams that has ever been put together.  Arsenal don't need much, a statement signing centre-forward (or 2) and they'll be more clinical.

I'd be going all out for Isak and one of either Ollie Watkins or Ivan Toney as back up.  Isak reminds me of Henry.  He'd be ideal for Arsenal.

I agree with Isak although i highly doubt Newcastle would sell him, but there's absolutely no chance Watkins or Toney would go there to be a back up striker. Watkins especially as he is going to be the number 1 striker for a champions league team next year.

You know Watkins is a confessed Gooner? He'd go there in a heartbeat from Villa if there was a chance of winning the PL and CL some time soon.

Newcastle need to sell with FFP concerns and no CL football.

Think they'll sell Guimaraes before Isak though, and he definitely wouldn't be cheap.

Ange Postecoglou seems really pissed off with the attitude  & mentality of Spurs fans & players about the Man City game.

I wonder if he might walk. Seems highly unlikely, but I'm just speculating.  He seems very angry

Not saying he wouldn't go there, i'm saying i doubt he'd go there just to be a back up striker if they had already signed Isak. Also don't think Arsenal would pay the stupid price Villa would ask for, for him to be their backup option.

Yeah i agree, there's been quite a few rumours Guimaraes will go to either City or Arsenal and he has a 100m release clause. If they sell him i don't think they'd also need to sell Isak. Isak also cost them 65m so unless they're selling him for well over 100m it wouldn't give them as much profit for FFP as selling Bruno will.

Arteta is so unlikable. Then you have one of the best CBs in England who refuses to play for the National team when CB is one of our weakest positions.  And Thomas Party.
Thank goodness Arsenal won't win the PL again this season.
Not to mention City winning the PL is now a staple in my pre season accy and were my granddad's team.
    What's not to like!

I'm not the biggest fan of it, but i feel like with all the other top leagues using it, and it being used in European competitions as well that it would be silly to go back on it.

The Premier league need to improve the competence of the officials who operate it.

I would like to see the whole lot implode, tv rights gone, clubs left with huge stadiums and huge debts.
    That would make my day.
Ideally they would then treat those outside their bubble with the same degree of dignity they did some 30+ years ago.
Couple that with reintroducing FA Cup replays to prop up their considerable losses.
They would finally cancel their carbon neutral bollocks and not fly to Australia the moment the season is over to play meaningless friendlies.
    We can but hope.

When you watch the VAR show whenever there is a goal or a penalty incident they literally go into panic mode when discussing the incident

Always said Poch will get them playing.  They've turned the corner now they've bought in to his way.

Football is fucked either way, but Arsenal fans are the most annoying gimps going (Palace aside) so I'm happy for City to win it again based on that alone.

I know they've spent ridiculous sums of money but in a rebuild season where they had a lot of injuries, getting to an FA Cup semi, League cup final and then getting 6th and qualifying for the Europa, isn't the worst season in the world.

The negative would be that they should've won the league cup against an injury hit Liverpool side.

heard someone say a while back, that there is no better team in Europe, than when Chelsea fear their 10th place position is under threat.

I can’t believe Arsenal gave up the title and dropped six points to Aston Villa just to stop Spurs from getting the top four. Proper small club mentality.

    I would keep, simplify it:
Offsides, these are pretty black and white, i know people create drama still but these are the best use of VAR imo
    Red cards that are missed

Get rid of the clear and obvious error malarky, trust the refs and lino a bit more but still use it for the above.

but offsides are not black and white as they spend so long checking it. That's my biggest problem with it, how long it takes to evaluate a call that a player is 3mm on or offside. Just go with the original call ffs.

They are, sometimes it seems it takes too long but they are black or white. It's either offside or note, easiest thing to judge, not to blow my own trumpet but i probably call them right on the spot 90%+ with VAR it would be closer to 99% just sometimes it feels they over complicate everything.
