Fucking bored of the cheats winning it every year. Loved it when the Aguero goal went in all those years ago, but now the novelty has worn off, im bored off my tits. Might as well get Sheffield Weds an injection of money and hear how massive they are every year. Similar sized clubs.
If it’s about stopping the big clubs winning it, then can we get Newcastle instead next season? Oh no - cos whilst City will blatantly get off of it, Newcastle are fucked by FFP.
Oh well at least we can say we’ve done something Arsenal failed to do. Beat City to a title. In fact THRASHED City to a title.

Agreed. City are now just as much of a big club as any of the Big 6.
And it's farcical how their FFP cases are dragging on, when so many other clubs have either been punished or are having to sell players to meet the rules. Villa would have had to sell if they didn't make the Top 4, that's how much it's affecting teams trying to compete.

I think this is worse than any other time for domination by one club. When I was younger United were the dominant side, but I don’t feel they won as many titles on the trot as City currently are, and they also he a core of British/Irish players, many who had come through the academy.
It all feels very fake with City. If they had brought a few more English players through their academy or something it might be a bit better, but it’s all so boring.
What a weird bloody game. Thought we played ok. Plenty of gusto, can get the ball from back to front quickly but then havent got a bloody clue what to do with it.
No one can accuse us of throwing the game can they?! We didn't roll over. Just received a text from my Gooner uncle accusing Romero of bottling a 50/50 with Foden and a pic of him smiling with Pep afterwards... so maybe some can...
Was bloody weird when they got the first. All started kicking off in the upper part of the south, police and stewards broke up a huge fight... someone liked Sours getting beat, some didn't and some didn't like other liking Spurs getting beat.
Bit too much at 0-2 when a group broke out some City shirts celebrating. Thats taking it too bloody far.
Anyway, fuck Arsenal, fuck Arteta and fuck all the dirty Gooners.
Well done Villa, well worthy of your CL place, been by far the more consistent team out of the best of the rest.
“Unfortunately in the last 48h I saw that the foundations are really fragile”.
“It's inside the club, outside the club"
Blimey, not sure what to make of that....
Ah. it turns out a fan behind the dug out was shouting at Ange to throw the game and it went on so long, Ange totally lost it with him. Not good.
Ange is playing a very dangerous game. I get where he is coming from but he needs to remember tonights game is not the reason why we havent qualified for the CL, its the capitulations at Fulham a, Neecastle a, Liverpool a, Chelsea a and home games where we threw results away, West Ham, Villa to name a few.
He needs to remember 5th place is on him and the players, not the bloody fans.

United didn't win as many in a row (no side has ever won 4 in a row) but at the height of their dominance from 1993-2009, Man U won 11 titles in 17 seasons. From 76-84 Liverpool won 7 titles in 9 seasons.
As the above shows these things tend to go in cycles, no team keeps winning forever and i think City's cycle will end when Pep leaves. Personally i feel that it isn't that Man City are so dominant, it is Pep that is so dominant. When Mansour bought them in 2008 they won 2 titles in 10 years, and then Pep took over. 100 points that no team had done before, and of course beating Liverpool to the title twice even though they got 97 and 92 points, i don't think City edge Liverpool to win those leagues with any manager other than Pep.
Even this season Arsenal have been superb and City have had to go unbeaten since December and win 18 and draw 4 from their last 22 games. Does that happen with anyone other than Pep?
Personally I couldn't give a toss how many times City win the league. If it means Liverpool or Arsenal don't win it then I'm happy with that. I think I only know one city supporter and he lives in Manchester so when City win the league I don't have to put up with all the gloating and bragging that I would have to endure if it was Liverpool or Arsenal.

Eh? Are you saying Arsenal have never won the title when Man City were in the same division ?
Man city are my premier league team and have been for at least 4 years so along with Bromley and Wrexham's promotion (my other teams) it's been an amazing season for me.
I also love Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund and have done since before they were mainstream so buzzing at moment.

Enjoy the 'competitiveness' of 'big teams' winning every game like a procession.
30 points to stay up will be the new norm I guess.
I mean... Man Utd won 5 of the first seven Premier League titles, so nothing has really changed
The Premier League winners will always likely come from the team that spend the most, and most wisely - Unfortunately it'll no doubt always come from the few, rather than the many now because of the rules put in place to protect the big teams.

I have bad news. When we got beaten into second for the big title - the one that matters - who do you suppose won it?
Also, when I was complaining above, I didn't mean that you can't choose to root against Arsenal, I just meant that showing any sort of glee or joy in fucking City winning it again is fucking strange, that's all. It's both deeply boring and deeply wrong that they do

They don't though.
Arsenal are ultimately not winning the league because of poor results v Fulham and West Ham, not scoring at all v Villa and ironically not beating Spurs at home who they're now giving stick to for losing last night.

"Arsenal merely need to steamroller virtually every team they play to win the league" isn't the gotcha you think it is
Not sure what your point is here? Big clubs spend the most and have the highest wage bills and are therefore more likely to be the most successful. That's the same in pretty much any league in the world.
Very rarely you will get shocks like Leicester and Leverkusen, but i would guess that in most leagues across Europe every August people could name a group of 2-3 teams that the league winner will come from.
The Premier league actually has more varied winners than most (5 in the last 12 years). When was the last time La Liga wasn't won by Real, Barca or Atletico? Portugal won by someone other than Porto, Benfica and Sporting? Holland not won by Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord? France and Germany will always go off with PSG and Bayern as favourites. Juventus won 9 in a row in Italy not so long ago, Ludogorets have won 13 in a row in Bulgaria, and you have to go back 40 years to when Rangers or Celtic didn't win in Scotland.

What a sensible post.
These things are cyclical. For many years Liverpool dominated - I can remember thinking will they ever stop winning.
Then United took over for about 15 years. Lord, those years were hell for me - it seemed like nearly everyone at work claimed to be a united fan even though most had never actually been to a game. And boy did they gloat. The morning after their champions league win against Bayern was one of the worst of my life!
Then you had the chelsea "glory" years built with Abramovich's dirty money. Now that really was a team to hate.
City will eventually stop winning, particularly as you say when Pep leaves.
In the meantime, enjoy both the wonderful football City play and enjoy even more all the fans of arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and united getting more and more annoyed with City because they are being denied their "right" to win the league!

What would Spurs fans have wanted if they were in the title race themselves? Still throw the game?

What was it this season last season
the previous 10
I haven’t a clue how much they’ve spent compared to the rest of them
well done City and the nigh on 28k of fans that they averaged in the third tier when we were having our first Prem season 98/99
