  • Dortmund definitely in this - in fact been on top the last 5-10 mins.
Not just in it, they've been all over Real.

Will probably regret not taking their chances though given Real's history in the CL of winning games they looked second best in.
    Every time.
  • What a miss from Bells!
  • What a tackle from the Dortmund defender
  • And now make it look comfortable
  • Oh no Maatsen…
  • Not claiming #madeincharlton for Maatsen.
  • Since the opening goal, it's been all Madrid, the second goal was coming.
  • And there you are. Madrid are gonna get a jammy undeserved win again
Must be awful getting all these undeserved Champions Leagues every few years.
  • Real are so ridiculously successful in the Champions League. We need them to sign Harry Kane with his trophy curse to give everyone else a chance.

Last time Real Madrid lost a Champions League final was 1981. (European Final)

    Won 9 finals since.

  • Kroos and Modric in particular need to be up there with the greats of the game.

  • Kroos and Modric in particular need to be up there with the greats of the game.

6 Champions Leagues/European Cups puts them joint 3rd with Liverpool and Bayern Munich, and ahead of Barcelona.

And twice as many as Manchester United.

    Won 9 finals since.
Lost to Aberdeen in the Cup Winners Cup since then I believe.

1983 but isn't that a secondary cup anyway?

    Not then it wasn't.

And that’s if they were on zero starting in 2013…

  • What a fairytale story!!!

    …tedious competition.

It means the players themselves have 6 Champions Leagues
  • Dani Carvajal must be one of the most average footballers in the world to have that many trophies. This is his 6th CL and 24th trophy of his career, yet if you speak about great right backs in world football over the last 20-30 years his name will never come up

Makes sense. I misunderstood the use of “them” to mean the club rather than the players.

Only 43 caps for Spain, which reflects that he's a decent player, but no legend.

Right, but it’s still a “European Final”.

Can't stand Madrid, spent most of the first half getting totally outplayed and most of the game diving. Also Vinicius was on a yellow when he clearly dived and should've been sent off. Obviously the officials bottled it.

Scraped past Leipzig, completely outplayed by Man City, late turnaround v Bayern, outplayed for 45 minutes by Dortmund, end up winning it.
  • Is there a clip of that outrageous bit of skill from Vinicius that won the sorter they scored from , ridiculous .
Gutted they won but decent enough attempt from Dortmund who only finished 5th in their domestic league

That 32 year lean period between 66 and 98 defies logic
  • If only there was a video assistant referee to check for a clear and obvious error when a player on a booking blatantly dives and gets the decision go his way.
