Love seeing Man City out and Bellingham & co. through. Sod the coefficient nonsense. Means nothing to anyone outside the top six anyway.

Ah well, not everyone can be as good as Charlton in PSO's.

Madrid are so spawny but City only have themselves to blame with far too much tippy tappy around their box.

No English teams in the semis, and I know both were blowing out their arses, but unless they are injured surely you keep KDB and Haaland on in case you end up in a shootout?

Seemed pretty inevitable that Madrid would win the shoot out given how the game went. City's own fault, they should've buried them in normal time and Madrid were just hanging on. That de Bruyne chance with about 5 minutes left was the one, you can't miss chances like that.

You'd have to fancy Madrid to go on and win it from here.

Safe to say the Premier league will not be getting a 5th champions league spot next season.
  • Tonight might also give Chelsea a good chance in the cup on Saturday. City will not only be tired but also pretty demoralised and have another game in less than 72 hours.

    Yep.
Me and me mate said in the pub.
You get to champions league penalty shoot out and haaland or  KDB not taking a penalty against you.
    What a boost.

Ironic that because of the coefficient situation, Kane's current team might cost his old one a CL spot next season.
99.9% of Spurs fans will tell you, we'd take Europa and 5th, rather than 5th, CL and the vermin being anywhere near close to winning a CL final.

We haven't got a hope in hell of winning the CL, but we'd have a realistic chance of winning the Europa.

The only downside is the monotony on Thurs/Sun/Thurs football again but beggars cant be choosers.

Spurs will finish 4th … Villa aren’t all that

Spurs still have to play Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and City.

to be fair, we've had our best performances when teams have come at us this season.  Most have just tried to shut up shop with a low block.
  • The only way England can mathematically get a 5th Champions League spot now, is Aston Villa have to win both semi final legs, and the final of the Europa Conference League. Plus Bayern, Dortmund and Leverkusen all have to lose both legs of their semi finals.

Not that I particularly care, but it's ironic that the season when the 5th place is introduced has coincided with our worst performance in Europe for quite a while.

A bit odd that the coefficient isn't weighted more towards results in the harder Champions League. Italy are well clear of Germany despite Germany having 2 semi finalists in the CL, whereas Italy's are in the lesser competitions.
  • Look on the bright side for the Premier League teams, they can focus a bit more on the FA Cup now

Arsenal's form, as so often in the recent past, has nosedived and perhaps Pep's Cittee squad is now creaking and aging .. I foresee major overhauls to both outfits in the summer, as much as the Prem rules allow ..
Be nice i m o to see honours seeking Harry K win a trophy after the irony of Bayern not winning the Bundesliga for the first time since God was a nipper

Don't UEFA use results across previous seasons as well though?

Last season Italy had 3 clubs in the CL quarters (more than any other country), a Milan derby semi final and then Inter in the final. In the Europa Juventus made the semi and Roma made the final, and Fiorentina made the conference league final after Roma had won it the year before.

They use results from the previous 5 seasons to decide the overall coefficient. Which is why England, Spain, Germany etc. Get 4 Champions League places to begin with.

The extra 5th place is purely down to the 2 countries that do the best that season.
  • Proper turn around from Bayern in this second half.

I hate Madrid. Their president is scum and they’re fans ain’t much better.

Thought Bayern were unlucky but a Madrid PSG final is on the cards which is truly depressing.

The talent / options England have across those 3 behind Kane is borderline ridiculous.

PSG must’ve hit the woodwork four or five times now?

    Funny watching them get frustrated.
