I know one thing for sure. There’s a number of ‘executives’ taking a huge shilling out of our loss making L1 circus club and continuing to run it like an amateur hour.
I don’t want to cause more in fighting between forums or whatever, but reams basically claiming “I told you he was sacked” as if tonight’s game had no bearing on things has made my night.
really can't understand why there is so much negativity around this appointment. His record is actually quite good. We've been crying out for a more experienced manager recently. Not my first choice but a darn site better than many of the "realistic" names mentioned.

Andy Scott can do one as well. He's as much to blame as Appleton is.
Andy Scott is certainly in the last chance saloon but I want him to prove he can get a manager who can inspire and organise and impress the fans with his football more than talk which is cheap as chips.
Think a complete new senior management team is required, sack the lot of them. Nearly 65 years of supporting Charlton what a shambles.
Chancers the lot of them, get some investors to put some money up & then play at football management, they don't give a fuck about the football club just the dollars in their pockets.

2 sacked managers in the same season is more than enough to show how poor Scott is
I expect the usual 'get someone who has a Chsrlton connection' comments. I love the club and I want the right guy in the job, someone who is up to the job and with the right coaching back-up. Charlton connection? I really don't care. Just get the right guy.
A farce him managing tonight, as he was clearly a dead man walking.
If he had gone yesterday and someone like Pearce was in charge tonight, it wouldn't have changed anything tactically BUT the atmosphere in the crowd would have been completely different, and I suspect some of the tension on the pitch would have gone also.
The players are easily good enough to climb the table, but look really out of sorts and drained of confidence. That's the sort of thing Warnock and yes Steve Evans are very good at. Making their players feel 10 foot tall, and building them and us team spirit.
Think you will find it was decided before the game.
Yeah could well be, but decided by the billionaires? Fans advisor? Rodwell? The players? Somebody presumably has the power to decide, Appleton said he never walks away from a challenge so who pushed him?

Who next pity the SMT don’t follow him out the door.
The supporters have been sold down the River.
Hope you're well C.
