A proper preparation job this with Chem going, get ready well in advance for a serious go next season. Don’t mind it one bit.4
-
Looking at his stats he's got 6 goals from 10 playing through the middle. Bit of a lump at 6ft3 and a good age with sell on potential.0

If we're playing 352 it makes the wingbacks even more important9
-
It certainly sounds like we have a plan, and a list of players on the plan who fit into it, even if that player is not our first choice.
I understand the restrictions of the last transfer window, but where was this sort of clear thinking then?8 -

Looking at Reading were we not linked with Nesta Guinness-walker a few years back before he went to reading. I remember he was meant to be highly rated at Wimbledon.Maybe an option for a wingback?0

Maybe the new keeper will cover Istead! £5 offers for AMB and he’s off 😂0

Been saying for a long time that the squad is woefully unbalanced and we are stuck with half a squad who are better in 4-3-3 and half that are better in a 3-5-2.
Always assumed with the signing of May and Jones that a move to 3-5-2 was on the cards. And our signings this window seem to fit that more.
CBT will defo be off, it will just be how much money we hold out for.
Also on another note, if you wanted to come up with agent talk why would you use a club in Hungary for that? Considering the only other noise we have heard about Dobson was from American clubs, I wouldn’t be shocked.
No wonder he sacked his agent.0 -

Very unlikely we'll sign players with exactly those names in next two weeks I'd wager.7 -

When everyone is fit, we have 10 players that can play in the midfield 3 (I can see some of them going), but only 1 that can play left wing back and 2 that can play right wing back. Both positions need some focus.

Think TT must have a good agent, he’s a solid backup in a back 3 but not starting quality for either of those teams2

TT looked woeful when he was in for Edun but has looked okay at CB. Unless we have another permanent CB coming in who’s good to play 90 mins right away I’d keep TT until the end of the season.2 -
The big question in my mind is whether we're recruiting for this season, to have a genuine attempt at the playoffs, or are we recruiting to finish the season well, and then go for it next season.
At the start of December, the playoffs were still a realistic goal, but the awful results since then have made it nearly impossible, so we really should be planning ahead for next season now, and while there will be players in the squad who aren't considered good enough, it doesn't make sense to replace all of them in a January window, when there will be better and more affordable alternatives in the summer.
The wing/full back options aren't good enough for a promotion side, and I'm unconvinced by both keepers, but that's less urgent than getting in a couple of strikers.2 -

A genuine attempt at the playoffs this season Is Dreamland they'd need to bring in atleast another 4-5 class signings which ain't gonna happen and even then we are well off pace.5
