Think there is too much clamour for a big man! I’d like to see use more ball technicians, utilise combinations and rotations to open up the opposition and retain possession. Understand the necessity for variation but for me, rather not have that as a plan A, unless they can fit both criteria

Odd how he's gone from playing every game to on his way out so quickly. One game on the bench, one game not in the squad and announced hes free to go that same day. Not disagreeing with the decision and his performances/ the type of player he is doesnt suggest we should keep him but how the way that its happened.
  • Don't know a lot about this Ikpeazu but I am in agreement with a lot of posts on here about his ability to put the ball in the net, prolific he is not ! On the plus side, there is a complete lack of the physical side in our squad, with the three forwards we were after, that seems like an effort to change that but once again I have to agree with posters on here, CBT goes, who replaces his goals. CBT has had arguably his best season and certainly his best return of goals and just as well because Rak Sakyi goals return was certain to be missed. If we sign Ikpeazu, fine, but we need another who can find the net.

Wouldn't be against this but I think we'd be on the hook for a significant chunk of his wages , think he's still got a year left to run.

A bit of physicality from Kanu on Saturday was all it needed to get the crowd going a bit. Think people might like this guy when he can do it ten times better.
Exactly what I was thinking. Also, maybe a ploy to get JCH to make up his mind.

combination of poor performances, new signings and the player wanting to leave

I was a bit disappointed at first when I felt Fraser would be on the way out but I can.now see it is probably for the best

In my view we need a left footed player to come in to replace him. Will this free upl money for Lewis Bate or Joe Powell?
  • Have worked out who Swisdom's CB/DCM is and I now have a Kinks song as an earworm.

Great song, no idea on the player but I'll give him 20 minutes into his debut before I judge him.
Does he walk like a woman and talk like a man ……….
    Close but no cigar

It appears that Motherwell would be loaning him, I can imagine that we will still be paying a lot of his wages as the SPL clubs are not big payers outside of the Auld Firm.

Surely there is a premier league youngster available on loan for the rest of the season?

Our top choice targets seem to have past us by as well as the young and upcoming punts for the future so if we cant find a permanent option on a long term deal lets take a loan now and see if later in the month anything has changed. Someone could be willing to negotiate or desperate for a move, or a club could sign a striker freeing up someone for a late move.
No one better than Karoy Anderson (according to Jim Rodwell).

    He's just a lump.
He was a lot more than that when we played them a few weeks ago , a constant threat .

True but I remember when we played Swindon a couple of years ago and a chap called Jaiyesimi scored a super goal, turning our full back inside out before scoring.

I swear we signed him on the basis of that goal. And we know how that turned out in the end.

Signing this Port Vale guy on the basis of what he did to us in one game strikes me as exactly the same.

  • Huddersfield have just announced a CB. Edmonds-Green on his way to us?
  • Sorry, I wasn’t quite sure what team Fraser was linked to…?

I get that. Both JRS have bagged a hat full of goals over the two seasons, even as short fellas, but they need a wingman. If Chuks and Leaburn aren't available out plan B is basically nobody. Limping along till the summer makes sense, so long as the limping is still producing points.

He’s the type of player that will always attract those sorts of comments from fans who just want 11 players on the pitch who get them off their seat.

Ikpeazu doesn’t (usually) do that but he’s the sort of player that can be essential in getting as much as you can out of the players around him. And we need someone like that at the top end of the pitch desperately.
How much have you seen him play other than when we played them recently to make the call that we need him ‘desperately’ ?

    I’m going with a yes.

Has to be Apeman, something we definitely don’t have.
