Bank holiday here so can’t do anything until Monday. Refurb started over three weeks ago so now not going to be ready before we go away on Weds. Yesterday morning brother in law had a heart attack, yesterday afternoon mum in law rushed into the same hospital with sepsis. We just needed the Addicks not to be shit to cheer us up. Thanks lads0

We huffed and puffed on Tuesday, and just about got away with it. We’re still in the same position we’ve been for 3 years now. We have one or two good players, maybe closer to 5 this season, but we cannot rely on them to consistently turn up, week in, week out and it be enough to carry the rest of the dross. We’re shaping up for a repeat of 21/22 & 22/23 just a different cast of characters
The only way we’re getting out of this league is a major influx of quality, more than likely at a significant cost.
I don’t believe we have the nous or the infrastructure within the club to do it with free transfers and loans, and I expect this will become apparent to the owners by the end of this season.23 -
You need a thick skin, and a sense of humour following this mob at times.4
-
I’m going to go and watch the Euros draw and forget about club football for the rest of the day.
Only sympathy for those who bought tickets. Your dedication to this club given the way things have gone is nothing short of brilliant. You lot more than anything deserve a reverse of fortune for our club.7 -
Kin ell. That really was poor. So many players off their game. I won't even start a list...0
-
The fans deserve an apology for that shite.2 down and still passing it around the back 4.Tedic is a waste of space.Fraser came on and did nothing. At least 4 of our team were not interested because it was cold.No tactical change from Apples and subs too late.Shocking.2

Absolutely pathetic performance.
Not much more to be said.0 -
Hard not to post a knee jerk reaction, although sentiment has been coming for some time!Neither Campbell is worth hanging onto as both league 2 standard. Tyreece Campbell has been exceptionally poor this season, and either needs a loan out to learn his trade or to be a ‘off the bench’ player. Shouldn’t be anywhere near starting!Ness has gone backwards, and will be a player who fades into obscurity when we let him go this coming summer.
Asimwee clearly not good enough, not too confident a loan spell would do him good enough for him to come back and play for the first team.
tedic was simply pathetic, get rid.
may wasted out on the right, and with us launching balls to a bored tedic he was never brought into the game.
Blackett-Taylor once again unimpressed and uninterested- would genuinely look to make some cash on him and reinvest on someone younger who can be more consistent and less attitude.
the game was crying out for a mcgrandles/camara as someone to take the ball out of defence and but their foot on it, instead we had Watson trying cute and clever passes to players. Poor
january needs huge huge investment, and this’ll be make or break for the season once we’ve limped through December! Minimum needed is 2 strikers, 2 wingers with a CB and a RB coming in.Depressi6 -
Charlton the only team to let me down in an eight fold. Sick of this constant crap we are being subject to. Need major work in January if we even think we can challenge for a play off spot.

Let's get dumped out of the poxy trophy thing as well on Tuesday, the owners will then have one thing to aim for....and we'll see their ambition or lack of in January!
That performance was one of the worst, if not THE worst, I've seen in many a year. Like I said I don't mind losing, but losing without fight, passion, or even a clue as to what to do is NOT acceptable. Everyone one of those on the pitch were a bloody disgrace...no exceptions!7 -
Not surprised at all. It is indicative of what we have been subjected to over the last few years. Andy Scott said we will no longer be a team that is rolled over when MA took over. Disappointed again but used to this sort of thing sadly.1
-
That was fun. Freezing my nuts off for another CAFC cup surrender. Went on the coach. Wish I had driven so I could have left at half time . What a gutless pathetic group of players we have.9
-
The really annoying thing about that performance was that there was no response in the 2nd half. They honestly played like they couldn't give a shit. I'd be a lot more angry if this wasn't par for the course in the cup.

Appleton needs to tear that team a new one.
If he comes out saying there were positives in that game, he’s either a liar or an idiot.
There is no Charlton player who had a good game. Some were less bad than others, but nobody in that starting line up comes out of that in credit. Subs made us slightly better, but not much.
Only Kanu and Mbick escape too much criticism because they only got ten minutes.
Fucking abominable performance.
Edit: Appleton also must take responsibility. If you can’t motivate your team to perform, you’re in the wrong job. Regardless of results, we’ve looked a shambles for a few games now.8 -
Another season of terrible loan signings. Need to send them all back in January and try again.6
-
No surprise but it was a pathetic performance. The positive: it allows us to concentrate on the Bristol Street Motors Trophy!5
-
We simply can’t defend, the whole team of Gillingham worked their socks off to get back in formation, us just didn’t bother. Far to many lightweight shirkers.4
-
Unbelievably pissed off, and i am not there freezing cold.
Very hard on our fans.0 - Sponsored links:

The only positive that I can take from today is that performances like that have become so commonplace in the last 10 years or so that I am no longer surprised when they occur and no longer feel the pain and anger and weekend upset like I used to.

On the train home. Lots of fans saying they cant recall a worse performance or team.

Cue, lots of Meedya output from CAFC "players" blowing smoke up our arses and promising to put it all to right at the next opportunity...
WANKERS!
2 -
They might be the Pikey's, but we've got all the ponies.3
-
I wonder if Andy Scott has to report to anyone?
He certainly talks the talk, but in all reality we are as fragile as ever. He says he likes what Appleton does on the grass, maybe it's Scott himself who should be out on his arse.6 -
I expect:
1, Effort
2, Basic skill level
3, Desire
Most of the above was missing from most of the team for most of the match.Gillingham were static for large part of the game but could pass through us at will.My patience is stretched thin.
Just when I think we are making progress, we go back to square one.!9 -

Pathetic performance, turned off at HT
…..it’s all about the windscreen wiper shield this season1
