T Campbell having a much better game.

Chem Campbell definitely shuts his eyes for headers.

    53' McEachran is yellow carded
He brings down the advancing Kanu.

    Wow.

A counter attack (of sorts) by us ...

TC eventually plays in a cross ...

CC, with more time than he probably realised, leapt high 6 yards out ...

And put the header out for a goal kick ... somewhere nearer the corner flag than the goal.

    CAFC, 2024 style.

Need to get Kanu into the game more If we do feel he will grab a goal

Great work from Chem to get the ball to Kanu, who gets pushed over level with the fron edge of the centre circle. We have a free kick and the Oxford player gets booked.

Got to say, this ref has been decent
Apart from that soppy free kick that lead to their goal, make you right. Hope that’s not tempting fate…

    Anderson vs Watson debate…

    - Watson “ground duels” over 180 mins of his last two starts: 6
    - Anderson the last 135 mins: 15

Whether Anderson is very good is still up for debate. But I think it’s clear Appleton is favouring him because he’s willing to put his foot in.

When you’re worried about the team being lightweight, you can’t bring on another player who isn’t going to try and put tackles in in a midfield pivot.

What about the ‘pivot’ part? The one where you can control the ball and pass it to someone in the same colour shirt as you

World class goal keeping by Beadle. Was out like a flash to close T Campbell.

Ooh, Oxford give the ball away near the edge of their area, Kanu to Chem who crosses to Tyreece, and his shot is saved by Beadle at the expense of a corner.

    54' Excellent save from Beadle
He rushes out to smother Tyreece Campbell's low drive.

Oxford don't need to get going anywhere Brownie, apart from back home

    Shrews 3-0

Wycombe down to 10 men, no not him

Corner headed away, Oxford come forward on the counter but Edun does well to race across and then draw the foul to win a free kick by the LH touchline.

    Beadle's About.

Now Chem concedes a free kick level with the Oxford dugout...

One of the Oxford defenders misdirects his header, so luckily it's out for a goal kick.

Cursing the director once again - wait til the ball's out of play before going for the close ups.

Combination of Dobbo and Anderson win the ball back in the centre circle, ball forward to Tyreece but his cross is blocked, ball comes back to Dobbo and he shoots rather tamely wide from distance.

Was going to say this has been one of Dobson’s better games recently.

I’m not shocked as we are not playing a double pivot today - which was doing him and Fraser no favours - but more like a 4-1-4-1 which allows Dobson to do what he does best.

Oxford free kick comes to nothing and they're passing it about the back.
