We've defended well, and restricted them to half chances, Isted has made some good saves, but they're equally the sort of attempts, we'd be disappointed to concede from... The better chances have definitely gone our way, with Kanu's two attempts
HT 0-0, clean sheet is good, we have created arguably the best chances, but changes second half, starting with Camara for Bakinson, Chuks would be good, and kicking towards The Covered End, should bring us some more luck
Not the greatest game of footy you're ever likely to see but we've more than held our own in that.
We've had a few good chances ourselves and mostly restricted Pompey to shots from distance.
Need to get Backinson off and Pat Cam on to inject a bit of guile into the middle of the pitch and then the battering ram of Mount Chuks for the last 20-25.
This game is here for the taking and we're well-placed ... for once.
We look so much better. Organised and more discipline at the back.
Wtf did we leave it so long with Appleton?!?!
It's fair that we look better so far under NJ, but until the wins start rolling in, the change will have been for nothing other than not-quite-as-crap football.
Not necessarily been pretty but I’ll take that all day long. Can we, finally, keep it tight until the hour mark so we can bring Chuks on when the game is there to be won, rather than is chasing it?
You still fear that moment where an individual switches off but the defending as a team has been night and day.

Fair.
So long as we continue to avoid the drop zone and continue to take points from top sides, not sure how much more NJ can do?! We can only judge the past games and current opponents. On that front we've seen a steady improvement and are now competing against top sides where we were turned over before by bottom quarter sides.

This take is so wrong it’s unbelievable. You don’t go from not winning to just winning. There is clearly a process that is being implemented and a clear mindset change. The wins will come but not overnight!
Amazing how much better organised we look, just missing a bit of luck going forward. So nice to know we have 2 good finishers and a really energetic midfielder just waiting to come on
What happened in the last 30 seconds of the half there? The tv just showed Isted standing still holding the ball, apparently waiting for the ref to give the go ahead.
30 seconds later, he blows for halftime, with no more play. The camera wasn’t showing what was happening further up the field, so not sure what that was about?

Nice to be going into games feeling as though there is actually a plan to get something out of the game, under Appleton it always felt like we just went out hoping to get something

We've kept the clean sheet for 45mins
Now lets go for the three points
